if nothing was going to be used when why were the forums taken over in an attempt to prevent them from being shut down when the time came?

the forums were taken over because we wanted to leave the data up until we got the word from its owner, ben. once recon gamer turned over the access to us we could have just deleted everything and be done with it. we decided to go another way. swat and scav can say and think whatever they want. have them call recon gamer. they will tell them the same thing. this is a done deal and over with. you guys were losing the forums no matter what. we wanted to keep them up longer but unfortunatly that didnt happen. now its time to move forward with FA:Source.

Just to get this straight, since I am not the sharpest person around. This is for Firearms ported (and updated) to the source engine, and has nothing to do with Firemist Jungcursion or WaW, correct? The FA mods wanted the vbb license to take with them to WaW, but this is Ben's call since he owns the firearmsmod.com domain name and the vbb license?

absolutely correct fat man. we had no intention of giving anyting to anyone other than ben, since he is the one who owns the domain and vbb license. we locked the forums out and were waiting and you know the rest. sorry this happened this way but it was going to be gone anyway. we wanted to have the forums up for everyone to continue to enjoy but that just didnt happen. FA:source will now begin.

well so if f-a is now going to be ported to source,i see no problem it's what most f-a'ers have wanted since hl2 came out.

so what's the big deal or did i miss that somewhere.

thats basically it. alex and hit butt buddies have been trying to kill this mod for awhile. they are pissed to hell that it will continue and that the forums ended not on there terms but on ours. i guess some people will never learn. its the same reasons why FA went down hill in the first place. a piss poor team running a wonderful mod straight into the ground.
