Check out Ubuntu Linux. I'[m using their live cd right now to check out and I'm really impressed. No other linux distribution i've ever tried has auto detected my network settings- especially one thats running from my cd drive. As with all Linux versions theres a little getting used too but this one is very user friendly. But anyway I just figured I'd share my find to those that are interested...

Have you had any experience with other forms of linux? I tried Xandros on my laptop and it ran slower than..... anything D:

[edit] Checking it out now.... If I do like it, can anyone tell me how to set up a dual boot? I've never done it before, but i suppose it could be helpful. Running Windows XP Pro btw.

yeah, I've been trying to get a partition going so I can run Knoppix. My friend is using Ubuntu also and he kind of got me into a Linux hunger.
