August 5, 200520 yr So, I have these hockey cards and many more. These are just a few good ones that I have no clue what they are worth. Instead of me buying a magazine maybe someone can help me out here. They are near mint condition. I know some of them aren't cut perfectly square from the factory so that deducts but they are in good shape no less. The Dionne is a little rounded on the edges of course because that is one that I used to play with when I was young. You know how you throw cards up against the wall to see who wins them all, well that card saw a few of those games I guess. I've added some more Andreychuk Yzerman Potvin Barrasso all rookies too. Cards aren't crooked just my photography. For old cards I also have a complete OPeeChee set from 1977-78. Larry Robinson adn Ken Dryden rookies also. Check out the old Team Canada cards. SWEETTTTT! One time I bought some cards from a dealer down my street. He was only there for about a year but he helped fill out my 77-78 set and one day he gave me a binder full of 77 78's for 50 bucks to fill out the set. I thought great deal as I took them home and started looking at them. I got to the back of the binder and it was full of Gretzky cards from late 70 80's. All the scoring leader kind etc. He didn't remember they were in there and I returned them to him. Kinda dumb but honest anyway. Bossy card autographed when he came to my city for a sportsmans dinner. I have Tony Esposito too autographed and I can't find it right now. I've got a Stan Makita auto too that I got in 1976 in Minneapolis. He was staying in the same hotel as me and my dad. The day after the game he was having breakfast in the hotel restaurant and we joined him for while. That was very cool for a 12 year old. Kinda like a 12 year old today sitting down with one of today's stars. Priceless. /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175367_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-13081017537_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175375_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175378_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-13081017538_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175383_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175385_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175387_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175389_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175391_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810175394_thumb.jpg

August 8, 200520 yr that Gretzky card isn't the rookie card i thought you had. the one thats worth over $1000 is the blue bordered one. if you want to make those cards worth more, you can get your professionally graded by sportscard grading companies like PSA and SGC. they grade the cards based on colour, centering, corner wear. PSA grades from 1 to 10. 10 being the best. SGC grades in numbers between 1 and 100. you should how much those cards sell for on ebay alone. go to ebay and just type those players names in. those cards in the pic look nice, except for very slight corner wear. hard to tell how much they;d be worth, because theres only pics of the front of the cards. but they look pretty nice, probably the lowest i would grade those is a 7. i want that Yzerman rookie !! hes a great hockey player.
August 8, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the assistance. I didn't find the Gretzky for some reason I think it is still at my parents house in my mothers fire proof box. I know the corners are a little soft on some but I will check Ebay. Yzerman IS a great player dunno if I wanna part with him.
August 8, 200520 yr i have so many Guy Lafluer and Marcel Dionne autographs its pathetic. i met them like 10 times lol. i don;t have any pics of my cards yet, but if you go to ebay and type in "t206" and find the baseball players "Addie Joss" ( Portrait ), "Rube Waddell" ( throwinf ), "Cheif Bender" (throwing with trees )and "Rogers Bresnahan" (portrait) those are the cards i have, except they're in rough shape. they were made between 1909-1911, and were sold in Tobacco packages. theres also a wide variety of backing to the cards, because alot of tobacco comapnies at the time had these cards inside of the packages. and also i have a "E93" card of "Addie Joss". they sold these in Caramel packages, and they;re very valuable. they were made between 1909-1911. i have the t206 Addie Joss graded, 1 out of 10, but its 95 years old, so thats not bad. all of tehse cards would be graded 1 out of 1 if i was to grade them. but if you want ones in better condition, they'll cost alot. a "Honus Wagner" card in the t206 is worth ALOT of money. a lone example graded a 8 out of 10 by PSA sold for $1.4 million dollars. Wayne Gretzky and his friend use to own the card before they sold it. an example graded 1 out of 10 can still get you rougly $60 000, although i saw sold for $100 000.
August 8, 200520 yr Author That's cool, I have a Sid Abel card too that is in the safe box. It is him on a puck background. Pretty old but I don't know the number or anything right now. Good shape too.
August 8, 200520 yr my uncle use to play in the NHL for Boston and Detroit in the 1950's and 60's. he played on Gordie Howes line, with Alex Delvecio ot however you spell it. he died a few years ago though but i hope i get a jersey he wore when he played for the Red Wings.
August 8, 200520 yr Author Alex Delvecchio is from My home town of Fort William. I was born there too and it is now part of Thunder Bay. Port Arthur and Fort William amalgamated to make Thunder Bay. Small world, huh?
