August 8, 200520 yr So, I bought a toilet seat at Home Depot in February and the damn thing broke. There was no misuse or anything like that but that isn't the point. I bring it back to them today and the girl at returns says " No, no returns unless it is in packaging and you can't leave that thing in here anyway even if we did return it. So, I argued for a while then she said I have to return it to the manufacturer and get them to send me another one. I left it on the counter and said " you can deal with it now I am going across the street to Canadian Tire to buy one". LOL, can you believe that, I thought they would return it at least. I can understand the can't keep it in the store policy but they could have said Go get another one and take this one and throw it out. Sure, that would be o.k. I even sanitized it and washed it thouroughly. Oh well, they lose me as a customer for life.
August 8, 200520 yr Author 10 yr. old (70 pounds) leaned over on it and it cracked. I didn't really care if they took it back because it could go either way there they could say it was abused or whatever but still.....
