September 17, 200520 yr I've never really researched Airsoft... but how do you "keep score"? I mean in paintball, it's obvious that you've been hit.
September 17, 200520 yr Author I knew that one wasen't going to work... hmm... I'll guess I gotta bypass just this once... http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/4011/gyst3qy.jpg /me runs from Admins And K2, airsoft is a game really based on intergrity. Also you keep unloading on someone till they finally say they are hit. It's a very fun sport

September 17, 200520 yr i would love to play airsoft but the guns r really expensive wha! You can get an entry level, electronic fully automatic for around 30-40$. And BB's are like 5$ for 2000. It's realy cheep. The only time it realy costs some cash is when you are getting the realy nice ones that are a few hundred dollars.
September 17, 200520 yr I'll have to submit my pic of me standing under a Bus Stop sign wiht number 1337 on it. Leet baby leet.
September 17, 200520 yr well i was looking at a m4 and all that stuff for like 300....guess i wa looking in the wrong place i do have a desert eagle but its clear and i just use it to kill flies lol i have no life
September 17, 200520 yr I saw an ROTC uniform. Are you or your friends cadets? I wish we had airsoft guns, it really kills the mood when we are running STX lanes and have to shout "Bang Bang" with our rubber ducks
September 17, 200520 yr Author Yeh we in JROTC in highschool. But theres 2 types of airsoft. The cheap springers and mini electrics for kids who play in the backyard. Then theres AEGS and Gas Blow Back pistols and Sniper rifles for the big boys. Currently, I'm about to buy a P-90. I'll get some pic of it later
September 17, 200520 yr when your wearing all that gear how do you feel if youve been shot? with my guns 100-230 fps we wear shorts and t shirts or else you cant feel it
September 18, 200520 yr Author We're shooting around 280-400. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. But they don't stop shooting till you put your dead rag on. So after 60 rounds hit you and your kinda hurtin, you give up really quickly
September 18, 200520 yr when your wearing all that gear how do you feel if youve been shot? with my guns 100-230 fps we wear shorts and t shirts or else you cant feel it Well, i'm guessing they are using 300-350 fps guns. Those mini-elecrtics are horrible, but the entry levels, they arn't bad for just a "play in the backyard" type deal.
September 18, 200520 yr for airsoft, play in the backyard is what we can do here, since its a pretty densly populated area. paintball is cool because its woods type tho
September 18, 200520 yr Author The BIG diffrence between airsoft and paintball is the strategy. In paintball (like woods and speed) you all have a general idea whats going on. You're only real mission is to gun down the other team. No real tactics involved. Airsofting, on the other hand, is much MUCH diffrent. One scenario can last up for 15 hrs. (Which was the case in one of our games). Also, you get tons of missions to complete. Ex: 1st is to guard the Contractor workers (which are guys who are almost getting you killed because they are supposed to have no idea what they are doing and they are only armed with a pistol) that are laying doing a mile of phone wire in a 3rd world country. Then after that OBJ is complete, move on and setup a recon base and hold till night. Then scout the area for the Insurgent base. Then, once recon is complete, do a stealth mission to plant C4 in 4 fueling stations within the camp. Then return to home base. While the whole time the Insurgents are setting up points to gun you all down. Also with airsoft, more realism is possible. Since you don't really have to worry about paint getting over expensive gear, like Nightvision which I have used. Airsofting is much more intense and much more tatically demanding game than paintball, since you are acting as a Squad, rather than a Individual in paintball. They also teach you all this cool stuff. Most of the time it's like being in Boot Camp rather than playing a game. Like last training event they teach you all this cool stuff. Voilence of Action, how to protect a convoy (which we used real vehicles for) how to cross a hostile road, tons of hand signals, and my personal favorite the 3 F's of combat. Find them, Fix them to a point, and.... Get your freak on with them . And since airsoft guns are even more realisitic looking than most guns (some even being full metal wieghing the same as the real-steel thing) it adds another level of realism. So overall I think paintball needs to move out of the way for airsoft.
September 18, 200520 yr when i play airsoft my objective is to run between lawn chairs and not get hit
September 18, 200520 yr Man, I used to have a heavy weight beretta before I sold it and the guy (my bro's friend) broke it right away...I miss it, it was my baby! But yeah my neighbor had a collection of airsoft guns, including an m4 (battery), a P90, and a blowback glock (gas) and then he had a blowback infinity or something...it was beautiful...lol! Becca

Becca Why did you sell it?!? Crazy person
September 18, 200520 yr most people here in canada (maybe its just toronto) arent ready to get into something so intense, so paintball is alot easier. paintball has also been mainstream for ages, so i doubt it'll ever totaly die, or let airsoft into the mainstream. airsoft also looks alot harder to get into, rather then paint ball because you usually know atleast one person whos done it, or does it.
September 19, 200520 yr Why did you sell it?!? Crazy person Teehee, well, it was a spring gun to begin with, and it didn't cost that much, but I still regret it! I wanna get back and play airsoft though, I have played paintball with some guy friends way back, it was fun, but I think airsoft is much more intense (in my opinon) Becca
September 19, 200520 yr me and some of my friends are getting into casual airsoft....just with little crappy cheapo guns. It is pretty fun so far and is ok to just play casually because the ammo is soooooo inexpensive.....a few $$ for 2000 rnds at Walmart. and you can reuse the ammo. and you can shoot people indoors....thats always fun. we shot one of my friends over 100 hundred times and we didnt stop because he kept laughing and that made us laugh.....then he locked himself in the bathroom to hide. Why would he do that? I shot him in the elbow and he screamed. It was really funny. Then he tried to throw a whole roll of toilet paper at me but it hit the door and the whole thing fell into the toilet. good times, good times. OH and Jairyn.....how come yalls guns dont have the orange tips? I thought they had to, by law, have those? Is it ok for me to paint mine black or what?
September 19, 200520 yr Nice pics. Salute "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." I'm curious what is the gun holding positions considered most appropriate when more then 2 close together ? I notice in first one it looks good I think, with side guns out and down and inner up. I just curious because recently went thru Firearms Safety knowledge.
