October 11, 200520 yr It's all to common to get an accidental TK and instantly get punished, What could the possible fix be for this problem. Discuss!
October 11, 200520 yr the punishing system was a good idea at first, but when actually implemented it doesnt seem to work. I mean for me i always forgive even if its blatantly there fault. I occassionally punish if im just having a bad day. But when i accidentaly tk someone its like every button on the keyboard is linked to punish. Unless if im playing with the other tac guys, im always punished for my accidental tk.
October 11, 200520 yr I still think a lot of people punish by accident due to the 'complicated' wording of the punishing question which means to NOT punish you have to say YES. Note the not really logical choices to do... Another thing I've noticed there seem to be people that intentionally get them selfs killed so they can punish you and thus in the long run get you kicked from the server. This is in my opinion a sad thing. Often it's people that don't want you to take the planes or choppers and just jump in front of you or into the blades. Now how lame is that? [DIAL]Doc
October 11, 200520 yr what I don't like about it is the name bug too. Today I was playing on wake isle, and I see a guy that was red sitting by the heli feild. So I run up and knife him. *bam* TK *bam* punish. The guy then even says "So, tk'ing for helis are we now?" and stuck by it even after I said it was the name bug... made me so mad.

October 11, 200520 yr I've had that bug happen to my (both ways) shooting teammates because they where red and being shot because I was red for them What's really odd is that in the case I shot the team mate, I knew he had joined my squad just a few minutes ago, so before I shot him I check the score board to make sure (maybe he was switched due to autobalance and I didn't see the message) so what do I see he is on the other team??!?!?!??! So I shoot and bam TK? He was even using the mic to ask me why I shot him and I got, you where red and showing on the other team on the score board, well he is a friend so no punish but still very odd!? [DIAL]Doc
October 12, 200520 yr weird i never get that bug.. Oh trust me... you will sooner or later. It was my first (maybe second) time getting it. MAN it's anoying.
October 12, 200520 yr That 'bug' is, i must say, the spark of realism in the game (it appears to be). Not always One can be sure, that there is actually enemy in front of Him. Dissinformation is powerfull weapon.

October 12, 200520 yr aww nothing like when avaitor and I fire a missle and ooo it looks like its gonna hit the enemy, and a sharp left or right and the thoughts ( ah s**t, here comes a tk punish) run across my mind. poeple punish like the missle was ment to hit them. then the typical screaming at the monitor routine happens... lol

Why, if you already lose points for TK, do more points have to come off for a punish. Aren't you already punished? you loose the same amount of points for tk's whether they punished or not, but most will punish because it just looks like you blatantly killed a teammate. Another problem is when the game forgets which arty is yours, i've lost around 10 points because of team damage from blowing up enemy arty
