October 15, 200520 yr I was thinking if we could have a certian number of bots running on the server to help fill some spaces when only a few of us TAC members are on that way we can get the server popin' off earlier times of the day. I mot suggesting that we have the number of bots equal to the ammount needed for the actual ranked gameplay to start but have only around 5-7 bots and then cycle them out for actual players when it starts to gain momentum. This all hinges on if we can have bots or not of coruse. Again just a thought.
October 15, 200520 yr ive said this before, and it applies to all games. once you get a rep for being bot server people wont come there. why play with bots when you can play with people? it will fill up if even 4-5 of us go in there, if not there are plenty of other servers

October 15, 200520 yr I saw TAC BF2 server full, once. After 2-3 rounds even TAC members started to leave it. Usually it's empty. [side note:] A couple of nights (in Europe) ago i joined tac server and there was only Mac there... we played 1vs.1 for 10 min. then he left... He said he was going to play hockey... Mac? Hockey? but well... I suspect it was Hamster that broke into Dad's PC...[/side note] The problem is BF2 is not as entertaining as FA (for example). And let's say it loud and clear: I don't want TAC FA server back. Firstly, b/c I no longer play FA, secondly the graphics are outdated, thirdly there's no community, players etc. BUT FA was much much more fun and compet1tive. Sgossard was right when he was saying that he put all his heart into it. I think all of the creators of FA did that game for themselves, while the creators of BF2 moved (or had to move) to another project and then to another and another.... they made a game. I can play it and it's fun sometimes, but not all the time like in the days of FA. The other problem is it's easier to fill 100 FA servers then 2000 BF2 servers. Maybe that's why TAC cannot achieve full-time-full server. My proposition is: TAC members, if you're playing on the other servers, if you're spamming other forums, make some challenges to the other teams and play matches (even if it means closing the server for the others for a while). Firstly, your own players would join more, because they would need some excercise, secondly because they would have to show their skills in front of the staff to prove their 'match-worthiness', thirdly, the members of the other clans would join your server more because they would know that it's existing and it's fun to play here.

Bots will not replace the need for people to get the server started either. You could have 25 bots on there, but if you only have 2 people, the server will not start. I vote a BIG 'ole NO to bots. You guys just need to get on during busy times of the day, oh, and FA is dead, get over it... TFD
