To do this, goto your Battlefield 2 folder, then mods>bf2>localisation>english

 

there should be a file there with only the name English. Open it in notepad.

 

The only downside...you have to find what you want to change.

 

Just look for the certain pieces of text. Some are easier to find, some not so (I haven't found Critically Wounded yet)

 

I've changed loads in there. Even the capped messages (Captured Flag=You captured the point son!)

Lesson here is: If it isn't broken then don't fix it cause if you do, you might make it worse then better

Here is the file, remove the old one and then copy and paste this one. You will have to rename this file from "English.txt" to "English.utxt" I had to change the name to upload it.

yea thanks it worked. When i saved the new one, it backed up the old one in the same folder.

yeah, sorry about that, I just automatically backup when I'm messing with any game files

maybe my messages were too long? Its the only thing i can think of, i didn't change anything else.
