October 21, 200520 yr I don't know if this has anything to do with punk buster or not. Just a little bit again around 5:20 pm central time. Our server and/or punk buster just kicked deli and I twice. It also kicked everyone else as well. I don't know if their reason is the same as ours, but it said for us "kicking for corrupted file/memory #81104". We are wondering if perhaps our server just needs to be restarted.

October 21, 200520 yr Author I believe it is just punkbust screwing up right now. Deli and Jpenn tried to submit a trouble ticket and it is offline right now. Plus if you go to the site it loads up pretty damn slow. So were thinking a lot of the people are having problems as well with it.

October 22, 200520 yr I think the latest Windows update is screwing with the way Punkbuster works and accesses your computer to see if you are cheating or within EA's guidelines. Therefore. It is probably not the server and more likely clientside in nature.

There's a very simple solution to your problem... Update your Punkbuster! Head over to www.evenbalance.com and download the file name pbweb.exe for Battlefield 2. Place it in your pb folder located in your install directory, then run it. Simple as that, within minutes your version will be up to date and you can head back onto the battlefield. Update: Apparently after testing on a few servers, I noticed that only a few servers seemed to have worked. What you will notice if you are affected is that everyone on the list will appear as dead, that's a sign that you will most likely get kicked within 30 seconds. The cause is still unknown, but is being investigated by EA as we speak. We will post an update as soon as more details are available. In the mean time, try some non-pb servers. Update 2: Punkbuster has posted an update on their site: "Due to a glitch on our master servers, many players are getting kicked this evening for violations #81104-81107 in error. Admins should ignore these violations. The problem has been corrected at the masters and PB servers will stop kicking for these violations as their local caches are updated over the next few minutes." Good news for all! TFD

October 23, 200520 yr Same kick for me after played 2 hours and 5 maps on a french BF2 server? Comeback on the TAC BF2 server and the same punkbuster kick happen to me too??? Thank for the headup for to update the punkbuster files. Egidio.
October 23, 200520 yr Interesting. I thought TigerHawk checked my PB updates. But upon clicking those links and looking for those files it says should be in in the PB folder if it's updated, I don't see them. So I saved that exe into the pb folder and ran it. Now I see the db and htm files mentioned. :peace:
October 27, 200520 yr The update run automaticaly under DOS and the update take some few long minutes: 4 to 7... Here the atached files for to update the pb folder in the bf2 folder... Egidio.
