October 23, 200520 yr If you are talking about the green on the side of the buildings.....NO, you may want to adjust your video settings in the game, maybe turn them all down to medium, deffinately turn off all the eyecandy I have attached a screen shot of my settings, even if your system can handle all of the setting on high, it will still require more from your system to run, which causes more strain on your system. causing a poor gaming experiance. Also make sure you have the latest video card driver. /monthly_06_2011/post-593-130810176661_thumb.jpg
October 23, 200520 yr Author acctually there all on low and off the least possable and my resalution is 1152x864 75hz and the View distance is 100% and its updated
October 23, 200520 yr Hes probably using that file to make the vid card work and that makes these graphics terrible.
October 24, 200520 yr nvidia somthing 5200 Same as mine and TigerHawk. You might wanna try 800 res like we do. Also lower refresh rate to 60, since we are lucky to get 20 fps in bf2, no point in trying to push monitor higher. Be advised, our settings for everything are off/lowest, but if i move view distance slider in bf2 options to full, screen will sometimes go mostly black, even though game still working and movement possible. Seems max safe view distance is in the middle. For comparison, we have the Nividia FX5200 128 mb, 512 mb sys ram, 1.5mhz cpus.

October 24, 200520 yr Then don't worry about it. Do not use the 60hz refreshrate. The flicker will cause headaches b/c it is not good for your eyes/brain. 75hz min and it does not stess anything out. Sorry Hogan

October 24, 200520 yr Yes. 60 hz is default which will mean less FPS when this is chosen along with no verticle sync. Choose 75 min with V-sync off.
October 27, 200520 yr You have lucky with the 5200? Because I selled my 5600/128MB. for a 5700LE/128MB. into my old pc = bringed or advised by EA for to play BF2. Now run a 5900/128MB. into the new one pc... And my son purchased a 6800 Ultra/256MB.! Egidio.
October 28, 200520 yr Yes. 60 hz is default which will mean less FPS when this is chosen along with no verticle sync. Choose 75 min with V-sync off. so if i understand, using 60 refresh vsync off will get me the most possible in game fps for minimal system ? but upping refresh to 75 may be easier on eyes but mean less in game fps ?
October 28, 200520 yr There are weird graphical anomalies on my system too, some times sand bags look shinny it’s weird!
October 28, 200520 yr No. V-sync off and upping your refreshrate as high as you can with the monitor you have is the best case situation for max fps.
