I must have changed a setting or something, but I cant see my own flashlight in DoD:S or CSS:S.

 

I can see decals - set to 200.0 - like sprays and other ppls flashlights on, but my duracell musta' gone ka-poot cuz I turn mine -i hear it turn on- and see nothing but blackness?

 

My css:s has been like this forever same with my dod. since the install i think.

 

Any Ideas?

that used to happen to me in CSS. But sadly for you, I never fixed it. I know it's something to do with a setting in your user config

i'm pretty sure you can turn that on and off in the advanced controls in your options controls.

i think its mp_flashlight 1.

Can you try maybe resetting the configs to default again?

i dunno but i do know i don't see sprays using d3d video setting instead of originally used opengl video. since updates earlier this year, either nvidia video card updates tried to improve bf2 or steam updates, fa and cs started getting occaisional crashes or lockups. i figured out they ok with d3d though.
