Well, I was trying to think of revolutionary games too. MFS was the first of it's kind. Although not as entertaining as Falcon or Commache... it was the first true Flight Simulator. I learned to fly on that thing --- and it shown through when I went to get my real pilot's license at 16 years old. :peace:

FF7 wasnt as good as everyone said it was. i dont see what the hype is :/.

Half Life 1 is THE best game ive ever played AT ALL. fun mods, the dastardly people(at times, like in FA, ooohh the disputes), and just overall awesomesauceness.

Metal Gear.... i didnt know which to choose :p . , i couldnt beat the first one without cheating past the gas thing :p . I JUST COULDNT GET THROUGH D:!(stupid gas chamber.... *grumble*) choosing this one because its got the longest storyline. plus it also is just plain kickass.

FIRE EMBLEM. YES. this game is THE BEST RPG i have ever played. tons of fun, turn based action, awesome story, great weapons, cool recruitment feature.... its just plain awesomesauce.

Final FUNtasy 5 is what it shouldve been called. srsly. this game offers ton of great stuff. although, it was a hard choice between this and 6. (FF Anthology FTW!)

HL2.. need i say more? i love the story, hell, i havent even beaten it yet ;O :p . its also got some great mods in the making.

Strangly other people are unique and don't have the same exact taste in games as you.
(In this order!)

(1). Metal Gear Soild (First One)

That was not the first one. The original came out most likely before you were born and was 2D. That was the one I was talking :p

Watch the movie in this link. (hi res is best) it takes you from the start to the new one coming!

1: Half-Life (this includes all the mods that come with it)

2: Unreal Tournament (including all mods)

3: Star Craft (still holds up to all recent RTS games)

4: World of Warcraft (i may hate it now, but when you have 4.5+ subscribers... well they must be doing SOMETHING right)

5: Gran Turismo 4 (the best driving sim out there... sure there are more realistic ones, but none done to the scale of GT4)

5. Police Quest (PC) everyone of them!

Leisure Suite Larry (PC) series

This is a good point and I failed to think about these on my list. But all of the Quest series were revolutionary during their time. Kings Quest, Police Quest and Space Quest. They just don't make games like this anymore. Another oldie but goodie was the Ultima Series.

Not one of the best games, but the first game that I ever played on a PC that my family owned was The Black Cauldron. Here's a link for those that are interested in the 1986 classic that I played on our Tandy 1000EX. Be sure to check the screenshots. Man have we come a long ways in 20 years!!!

in no order:

1. half-life

2. half-life 2

3. duke-nukem 3D

4. Starcraft

5. Warcraft 2

6. Tekken (whole series)

7. age of empires 1&2

half life/counter strike

command and conquer series

dark forces

death rally

battlefield 2

warhammer 40k

goldeneye (n64)

mario cart (snes)

madden football (ps2, n64, snes)

perfect dark (n64)

in a very rough order... hard to say and even remember all those old games
