Posted November 17, 200519 yr I am considering letting my 10 year old son play bf2 online. I only allow him to play offline, but hes been wanting to play online for some time now. The Armory server is probably the only place I will allow him to play because from what I know you have good admin team and child friendly rules in place. I understand he might see a curse or 2 once in a while, I just want him to have a place to enjoy bf2 and not be harrassed. Im not sure of your rules but could you update me on them? Thanks

November 17, 200519 yr Be nice or be gone. thats basically covers it, but no swearing, racism, stuff like that. I guess it will have to be covered a little closer now since bf2cc warned people about language.

November 17, 200519 yr Hmm, well--I agree with River Rat, your son will definitely hear worse at school or just watching TV than on the Armory server. But...of course...you always have those select few who just love to push the buttons and break the rules.

If we can, I hope that we can enforce that rule or if we have already enforced that, to re-enforce it more. It really ticks me off when I'm waiting for a jet and another team member kills me so they'll get a better chance of getting a jet. SHAME ON THE PEOPLE THAT PURPOSELY TEAM KILL!!!!!!!

November 17, 200519 yr *standing ovation for Medic--a chant begins to become audible from the crowd* NO TKs! NO TKs! NO TKs! [/end fantasy scene] Yeah, I can't stand TKers. "Mine, mine, mine! Gimme a plane so I can go and crash it about 10 seconds after piloting it, then let me TK you again so I can get it again and do the same until I reach 20 seconds of flying time." GG, ****! *sigh*I think the current TK punish system comes off as either REALLY lenient or REALLY harsh. Because those of us that are NOT intentionally TKing (I think you all know the **** that stands in front of your plane situation) get kicked/banned for stupid things. But those that DO TK on purpose seem to stay forever! Maybe it's just one of those things... EDIT: I'm not swearing, I was not aware we couldn't say...well...the word that defines one who is not a good player.

November 17, 200519 yr We have a few members who allow their children to play on our server. Here are the rules The Armory Clan - Clan Rules Updated on 23 November 2004 - (All information is subject to change) (Members must read and comply with all <TAC> Clan Rules) 1. Members will not use foul or abusive language (strictly prohibited on server) during gameplay. An accidental "Slip of the tongue" may be tolerated, but should never become common practice or directed towards others. If a bad word is on the "Badword" list, members will not type in letters to bypass the server's word **** filter. 2. Members will always respect and follow instructions given by Admins. If there is complaint about an Admin, member has the right to make a formal complaint to contact@thearmory.cc. Members will not argue with Admins at anytime or for any reason. Members may, however, ask the Admin why he/she made a particular decision/call, but the final decision/call will always rest with the Admins. 3. Members will not ask to be an Admin on the server. Admins are hand-picked and solicited by Senior Counsel leadership based on a their maturity and conduct while on the server. 4. Members will not continually ask Admins questions during gameplay as to interfere with their game. An occasional question to Admins is fine, but multiple questions detracts from their gameplay. Most questions can be handled in the <TAC> Forums, or by emailing contact@thearmory.cc. 5. Members will not use racial slurs/comments at any time. Members (or visiting players) in violation of this rule will be permanently banned from <TAC> and The Armory server. 6. Members will always strive be friendly towards other players during gameplay. 7. Members will not argue with visiting players or other <TAC> members at any time. Members must understands that if they have a problem with another player, he/she must notify an the on-duty Admin for action. In the absence of an Admin, member should write down players tag/won ID and relay the information to the <TAC> staff at a later time. 8. Member's accepting a challenge to represent TA in a clan match must make every attempt to be at the match at the designated time and place. 9. Members must understand that these rules apply always when playing on other servers when displaying the <TAC> tag. 10. Members will not change there tag/nickname without authorization. This is important because we need to be able to detect non-members trying to use the <TAC> tag. Members may, however, use aliases without the <TAC> tag present. Although displaying of the <TAC> is not a requirement, it is highly encouraged that all members routinely display their tag/nickname at all times. Tags/nicknames must always be displayed during scrimmages and matches. 11. Members will also abide by any future rules that may apply. Any changes to the rules will be posted on The Armory website.

November 18, 200519 yr Our rules can be summed up like this. You are having dinner at your Grandmothers. Act like that here in our forums and while in one of our servers. We cannot be perfect. We try and for the most part our server is a clean place to play as is our Ventrilo voice net communication. Thanks for the concern. Thanks for the question. I hope it all works out.
