Have you ever had only one spawn point active and it turns red when you want to spawn? That means that spawn-point has no more room for you to spawn, hense flooding the spawn point with enemy and friendly, thus blocking your spawn... At least that sounds good and might be what spawnblocking is called, this is just my speculation though.

Good guess Deli and you may be right... but it seems that it would be very difficult to continually "spawnblock" that way.

I'm guessing that they mean spawn camping. If the enemy only has one spawn point remaining (that is uncapable) and you're entirely team is at that location, you are essentially blocking their spawn. We've discussed this informally regarding our public BF2 server. I firmly believe that if the enemy only has one spawn (uncapable) remaining, it is good sportsmanship for the other team to defend their positions rather than advancing into the enemies spawn. Encroaching on an uncapable spawn point does not make for "fair play."

Just a hunch though... please post if you find out anything fo' sho.

yea i think what deli said was pretty right, there are so many times when i'm trying to spawn because my flag is about to be capped but it's red because there are so many people on it. when people leave its too late, the flags already been neutralized.
spawn blocking happens when people spawn and go instantly prone. its a bug that will hopefully be resolved soon. a lot of ___holes do it just to piss people off. but yeah thats what spawnblocking is. try it sometime on the server. get someone to watch the spawn point. spawn and instantly go prone. the point should turn red.

Thanks guys, Deli and Scoutnex make sense. I've had that a few times and wondered what was going on.

That sounds pretty cheap..
