I've heard/read warnings in past that their server has had overly restricting rules and admins, causing some people to have their steam id's banned from playing anywhere through steam, if they were "too good" or maybe more like didn't honor server rules at the time.

 

I dunno about those situations. But I feel I should give credit were credit is due. I played there wee morning hrs monday. I used tac col hogan name. someone on my team must have remembered my occaisional tac fa use of audio clip "you can't touch this" as he said on mic the same. i hadn't used it yet as i wasn't sure it was okay. i figured since it mentioned, if i kept it 2-3 seconds and not too often, maybe okay. i did. no complaints. it was a fun laugh generating hr or 2 while i was there.

 

So maybe they had poor admin choices in past, i dunno, that night it was all fun, challenging, even teams, etc. So if no one in our fa server, don't fear trying theirs. Just read rules before joning game and keep eye out for requests from possible admin on other team.

Yeah I played there today, twas fun. I never had any problems on their server. but yeah I've heard if you are 'too good' you're asked to use pistols only. don't know if that's still the case.

:/. i dont really like the no famas rule. FAMAS! but i also dont like the loss and choke i get while there, . otherwise its fine.

I was playing there. I was owning the BOTS. Ok understand it was just BOTS and maybe one or two real people.

 

I was like 25 and 10 when a YIS clan guy came in. He told me to change guns and goto medium armor. I asked why. What an intelligent conversation that turned out to be. A guy said "thats lame" and HE GOT BANNED!!!!!!!

One time I played there & I was using the m79 and they told me to stop using it cause I was owning too much with it, wow because I got 3 kills in one shot I'm owning.

not sure how many times I have been temp-banned, but what usually happens is I get demoted from a gun to a pistol, to light armor, to knife, and then am banned without warning at that point.

i tried to play FA a lil' earlier tonite. Only server with people was [YIS] and the only ppl playin had the [YIS] tag on. I cried, then went and played source.

lol,mac i like the part"who's your daddy now" lol loved it.

just reading all that made me miss all the old and very stupid things i used hear everyone fight about during the years i spent playing.and even thought during the time it was happing i hated listening to the same old arguements.you know stuff like famas this,and camp that.w/e ahhh good times:D

I was accused of hacking there by a bunch of people one time. I had to use pistols and aim badly. It was pretty sad because I was never that spectacular at FA to begin with.

 

It makes since for a popular game to have **** servers where new people want to get into the game but aren't used to it yet, but when you're one of 2 servers for a game, it seems kind of silly. It's like selling training wheels for those old timey bikes with the huge front wheels. There's not really a market for that anymore, and it's kind of silly to begin with.

 

There were a few times where I was allowed to do good though, so whatever.

I stumble upon servers like this and I become very upset rather quickly. Why? Because that is extremely lame! They are putting a restriction as to how good you can be!
