December 5, 200520 yr Hello, I love playing on your BF2 server. I play almost everynight on just your server. Upon connecting I make sure I ALWAYS say hello to the armory clan before I being to play. (respect) I always obey rules of the server and follow commands from armory members. I am a VERY strong player, anyone that plays offen will know I am consistantly top 3 spots every round. Last night an armory member kicked me from the server for TK'ing. I hadnt TK'd anyone, I had been TK'd from a member and I choose to punish the kill. (normally I do not) I wish to make sure this doenst happen again, I show nothing but 100% respect for your clan and server, and would expect that in return. Did I do something wrong, or am I not welcome to play? Please let me know, I am an adult and wish to confront the problem and move along. If you wish to not have a strong player on your server let me know. Thank you for reading, Cheers Soap
December 5, 200520 yr It was most likely the auto 1 round kick/ban for tks. This has happened to me before. I never noticed getting a tk until I see "You have been punished for a teamkill!" The counter does not clear on map change, so if you have been punished a couple times that day, even on previous maps, then get punished again, you will be a victim of the autokick. Try connecting again, if you're still banned, let us know. PS. Don't kill me anymore
December 5, 200520 yr The message you see is the EA generic message that most ranked servers put up. If you noticed it also said at the end something about other stuff not just and Admin kick. If you were "kicked" by an admin. You would have most likely been banned and we would have a report in our Admin section. I am sure you will be able to connect. The ban from EA t-king violations only lasts one map FYI. Hope that helped.
December 5, 200520 yr Author thank you for the replies perhaps I didnt word my 1st post correctly. I did not TK anyone, I was the one that was TKed..... I breifly saw a message while in the game that said " kicking purposesoap for team killing" Then I got kicked and the message said ADMIN decision I've been around long enough to know, I punished the TK on a member and was kicked on purpose for the punish. (or so I thought) I just didnt want to upset anyone, thats why I posted asking if I did something wrong. we all know TK's happen, and if I did TK and was auto kicked I know it happens. BUT I didnt TK, I only punished the TK..... ahh anyway.... I'm not tryin to vent. I like you guys and wish to only have the best relationship. Just know when you see me in game that I registered and am here to only do good for your server. So if I say something in game, try not to completely ignore me! thanks again, see you tonite !
December 5, 200520 yr Hello Soap, Last night I noticed a bug that would show up people team killing when they were just killing the enemy. (it's 1 of the many bugs and glitches in bf2) I'm sure that was the case and why you were kicked. Glad to read you enjoy (=A=) server. 'Cause you play on the server alot I won't kill you as much See you on the Battlefields
December 6, 200520 yr lesson 1, never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever punish for a TK, there is only 1 time a punish is justified...as follows... Player 1 Teamkill player 2 Player 2, dude? Player 1 , screw you, die... NOT punishing: name bug. ASK if you have the name bug, if you see a teammate running at you guns blazing...you're name is most likely red, or he is an idiot, verify u dont have the name bug before punishing Anything else, I mean there is really no reason to punish someone for an accidental TK, I TKed someone the other night with shock paddles cause they ran in front of an enemy I was about to shock...they punished...so I TKed them 3 more times to get my 1 round kick outta the way... 99% of TK's are accidental and do no require a punish BTw, welcome to the site, glad to see something make you post here
December 8, 200520 yr The Armory admins are will kick for various violations with the best judgement used. I know even (=A=) members get kicked for TK's by EA I know I have been kicked once or twice:( . The one thing I know they WILL kick for is a foul mouth and TK's for vehicles. Some players think that its always the admin and it usualy isn't. If you play enough on The Armory server you'll get to know almost all of the admins and they will get to know you. Which get you two things 1. Is you get to KILL them once or twice 2. The other thing is you might get invited into The Armory But that might take a while Hope to see you in Battle!!! Duck Mugger
December 8, 200520 yr 79 makes a good point. I understand that you are upset about the kick, I would be too, soap. But do realize that admins are only human and make mistakes. My question to you is: Why did you punish? Were you 100% sure that the TK was on purpose? If not, it's probably not a good idea to punish. If the story really is how you describe it, it was probably not a good decision for the admin to kick you-- ASSUMING, HOWEVER that whatever kicked you was NOT the auto-kick. Hope you enjoy playing on the server, you can expect to see me on from time to time. Mr. Biscuit
December 8, 200520 yr I think in our welcome to the armory thing, we should put this thing about EA and if that its most likely what kicks you.
December 8, 200520 yr yeah a read first thing about being kicked on the home page i'll mention in the senior counsel section
December 8, 200520 yr also another way that couldv'e happened is if you were afk for a while.it's happened to me.the message reads something about being kicked for teamskills ect ect, then out i go.you don't need to be afk for very long either if the servers full.so perhaps that may have helped. i assure you that our admins don't go around randomly kicking others for no reason.and when we do get rid of people we let each other know, for incase this kinda thing were to happen so we can let the offender know why if he or she were to post just like you did. anyways thx for playing at the armory,we look forward to seeing you on the battlefeild.
