Alright, I know I, for one, have been having some horrible issues with VOIP. Not that it doesn't work, because it does in the Armory...

 

But any time I head to another server with VOIP, no one seems to be able to hear me!!!!!!!!

 

Anyone else having this trouble? Why is it that just the Armory picks me up?

 

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

maybe the people are just ignoring you because they want to do their own thing. some people just arent into working as a team, so they ignore others' input.

A lot of servers set the sound quality way down to save Bandwidth. We have ours at 4. 5 is the highest quality. I don't think it has something to do with it but check to be sure the Icon in the game list is in front of the server that says the server has this feature enabled.

I have noticed that a lot of people don't use it even if it is available. Lots of "lone-wolf" syndrome. To me its a big advantage and if they don't use it, I switch to a different squad. I am not sure if your have huge technical problem or not. I have played with you in other servers and heard you fine. (refering to Bisuit)

In reply to impact--It's a necessity for me to use the microphone. If you ever see me play CS:S, I'm ALWAYS on the microphone. I just have to be.

me and tiger used to be able to hear and be heard. recently we hear but using usual key to talk is not working. she says she noticed the green icon thing when she pushed the talk key but it went red and added a crack symbol.

 

anyone know what this means and what to do ?

mine never really stays green, it always turns to red with the crack but people usually can hear me.

It turns red when the MIC is distorting or oversaturated. You need to move the mic away from your Mouth till it stops turning red when you talk.
