I'm glad I dont usually fly, but the aviator badge is the last one I dont have. So, 10 mins in a plane should be easy right? WRONG! I get a plane..then get shot down....what? by a teammate...

then I respawn, only to have him TK me again...punish....

 

then I'm waiting for the thing to come back....and some other clown walks up, throws a grenade, I run for cover, the plane spawns...he jumps in...fine.

 

Next map...9 people are waiting on planes...I jump in the back seat of the bomber thinking this guy might last the 10 mins and no....I'm trying to get locks on ground targets and he's doing loop de doo's and running into towers..

 

THIS is why I'm a ground troop, dont have any desire to spend 10 mins waiting for an airplane only to get shot by a teammate...

You should hunt down that teammate...whomever that is..

Cutlas if your on my team and you see me waiting for a plane, just ask and I'll give you the plane. I already have a veteran avaitor badge. Also if you need help with flying, there are alot of us in TAC who can help you out. Fortunatly there are alot of great pilots in our community.

 

If your flying and gator is your wingman you might not get a response from him 'cause he's one of those "i got my mind set on being the enemy's worst nightmare in the air" mode clicked on, and he goes radio silent for awhile ...lol

 

If your around when theres no or little amount of people on the server I'm sure we would be glad to help you practice Avaitor on a map with jets.

i used to think the same thing about flying and flying with keyboard/mouse.

but thier right just practice.the way i finally learned was to go onto our server when it's empty or just a few people.practice then cuz it don't count .and as the server begins to fill and the map starts for real,thier more than likey will be 10 people at first whichs gives you a good chance of getting a plane to fly.just work on it when you can,don't try to force something it take's time.

Find a 64 player server with a minimum (10) amount playing. Don't worry about ping. Player count matters. Just fly for 10 mins.

I needed aviator and helo badges and thought I'd never get them. Then with the help of MisterBiscuit and White Nine I got them back to back rounds. Thanks also to Donut for not taking the plane when I asked for it because I got the badge right after and then the game ended.

I will probably never sit in a plane again but just wanted the badge for my next rank up at 50,ooo.

yea everyone should make sure they get the required badges before they hit the rank, or they will never get promoted untill the next rank after that. gg ea.

I recieved a joystick for x-mas. I must say its harder flying with a joystick and throttle. I'm so used to flying with keyboard and mouse. I can see why people are really good in attack choppers; using a joystick makes it easier to hover and shoot rockets. I'll need alot of practice using my new Saitek x52 joystick and throttle. I'm thinking of getting Falcon 4.0: Allied Forces to get some practice flying with this joystick.

yea i just got a joystick too, the saitek cyborg evo, i need to spend some time finding out the best configurations.

well I'm trying to find a way to ask my father in law for his, I mean its still in the box, unopened, in the wrapper, hasnt even taken the price tag off...Its been sitting in his office for over 3 years now.

I recieved a joystick for x-mas. I must say its harder flying with a joystick and throttle. I'm so used to flying with keyboard and mouse. I can see why people are really good in attack choppers; using a joystick makes it easier to hover and shoot rockets. I'll need alot of practice using my new Saitek x52 joystick and throttle. Saitex X45 for me.

 

Joystick and throttle. I want to figure out how to use my HAT to look up down, left, right and behind. Instead of hitting like F10 or whatever to look behind me.

i love my x52.. btw if your a member of the saitek forums theres some premade profiles for bf2 by its members and some nice tips and ideas on how to set up your x52 to do things.. well i never thought of doin with it..

I use my old Sidewinder forcefeedback (v1.0).

My son use a Logitech forcefeedback usb.

yea i was reading up on the joystick i bought, someone said they use it for everything except for ground pounding, they use it for tanks, boats, vehicles, planes, and choppers.

I totally agree impact... .. see my kills and deaths section on my bf2 signature? That's right... most of the deaths are from impacts missle droppings... lol. So that is why you should get help from him
