December 27, 200520 yr See. I like some of the changes that are going into the new patch. Other things though I feel that EA/DICE are just taking short cuts. Like no shooting while jumping. I don't mind that at all. Its just when they keep jumping and shooting over and over and hit me while I am prone 100 yards away. I would love it if they put a little accuracy decrease while they shoot. I said a little because knowing EA/DICE they would make it so when you jump. You cant hit someone when they are 5ft. infront of you. Im not to sure on what they are doing with the dolphin dive/ bunny hopping. I hope they make it so you can still jump and go prone just with a huge stamina decrease or something similar to FA. Where you cant jump once your out of stamina. That is the only way I can really think of having that done other then just taking it totally out. Those are the ones that are on my mind the most. So I can't honestly say if I like it or not. I can say that it is about DAMN time though. After 2 patches of people complaining about it. They finally get the idea that it my be a good idea to do something about it! LOL!!! morons....
December 27, 200520 yr now they just need to do something about the punish system. I was punished tonight for a TK cause we had 2 tanks and 2 APC's in a little convoy, somehow I ran over an APC. We were being bombed, so I scattered, it waas nothing remotely intentional...whats worse it was a squadmember who always plays with us, and I was on VOIP apologizing before he had time to push the button... And the best thing about the patch is lowering the armor on the helo's, I hit a blackhawk today with 3 tank shells only to see it fly away....I finally chased it down cause there was no way I was letting 5 kills get away after 3 very nice shots from a tank...
December 27, 200520 yr Some things are okay, but i feel they are doing a lot of things that don't need to be done. Jumping while shooting, reducing rockets before reload etc..

December 28, 200520 yr well hope they fix the name bug. i would be happy if thats the only thing they fixed along with crashes to desktop. hmmm making the planes go down easier could be a good thing but y cant they make AA lock and hit the target its locked on? like phrogg said its just ea/dice taking shortcuts
December 29, 200520 yr I don't want the medic's defibulators to reload when not in use. thats actually one of the things i liked, i really hate those times when i dive down to revive someone and pull out the defibrillators only to find i need to recharge them. Sometimes that wastes valuable time.
January 2, 200620 yr I'm horribly torn on this patch--there are things I like and things I don't like. Pros: Dolphin Diving--ELIMINATED! Fewer Helo rockets! (Too many anyhoo, always shooting to get rid of those last few anyway) Shorter TV Guided Missle Range!~ Reduced Helo armor! More accurate AA! TWO NEW UNLOCKS (SNIPER AND ANTI-TANK! Although, we are unsure as to how these will be implemented. Will they just give us two new unlock points or just add new ranks further than 2nd lieutenant?) NERFING THE STUPID M203 AND GP30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (my favorite by far) Cons: No jumping while shooting. (This is bad because I am at fault, I often will jump once, shoot about 3 times, then prone--sit there a bit, then stand, shoot, and sprint off. Although, I can understand why they are implementing this) No more "chucking" C4. (C'mon...this is the only way to get things to get C4 in good positions!! If they nerf the "chucking" aspect of C4 (because you can't jump and shoot) that means no more jumping and throwing Medic bags or Supply bags which will cause a SERIOUS problem when trying to get a bag to someone how of normal range.) Reduced Helo armor (This is bad, though, because if they nerf it TOO much, my BH on Mashtuur city won't be able to pwn so hard! xDD) ________________________________________________________________ Oh, well...I look forward to the patch, though, because it will add a nice realism to the game.
January 3, 200620 yr I'm all for the patch although I wish/hope they do something to punish the suicide pilots that ram you instead of actually try to battle you. IMO, the lameness for that is right up there w/ bunny hopping, dolphin diving, etc.

No, I've played Spec Ops plenty of times, and have never found it difficult to run up and actully plant the c4 on a tank also, this elimantes the dependancy A LOT of clanners have a anti-infantry c4 slinging (Jump, prone in midair, throw c4, blow up right away, 1+ kill) Reduced Helo armor (This is bad, though, because if they nerf it TOO much, my BH on Mashtuur city won't be able to pwn so hard! xDD) and that's the problem, they pwn too hard.
January 3, 200620 yr the helo armor needed to be reduced, they can take more punishment than than an M1A and thats just not right.
