I have always wanted to make maps for half-life. Yet I cant seem to get started. I have tried the starting guide that comes with the HL mapping software, yet im still stumped First off, what software should i be using? i have heard of other map makers besides the world maker that comes with the HL Cd. :? Im so confusedhelp me out here

Get the Valve Hammer Editor (previously known as Worldcraft).www.valve-erc.comTutorials and the such. And please, please, NEVER use Hammer to compile your maps, download a seperate program for that.

i suggest these tutorialswww.planethalflife.com/schrade the simplist tutorials out there, perfect for beginers it covers everything and you can read the whole thing quickly, it even gives step by step info on how to make a areana type mapand to compile my maps, I use unforgiven I find him quite usefull jk there are many compile programs out there
