Posted January 8, 200619 yr JUST A REMINDER 31 days from today, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS...These telemarketers will eat up your free minutes and end up costing you money in the long run. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. Or go to http://www.donotcall.gov to register. It was still quick and easy! PASS THIS ON
January 8, 200619 yr Thanks for the heads up RiverRat... I'll call that number to make sure no telemarketer calls my cellphone
January 8, 200619 yr Yeah, I signed up on this website in 2004 for my home phone number. This really works. I haven't received hardly any telemarketing phone calls since I signed up. The only exclusion are calls from existing vendors (such as your credit card companies) or things like FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) or Political Offices. Do it. It works.
January 8, 200619 yr Need a phone number, Tiger? Or are you just going to try a few until you get us? I agree that it works. I don't get any.
January 8, 200619 yr I laugh because of my job, I'll still be calling you guys. You're in Canada. I doubt the same laws apply.
January 8, 200619 yr No I phone in the states sometimes too. My job is doing surveys about different products and services and we don't sell anything ever and the numbers are randomly generated by the computer so I get all kinds of numbers for different places even some numbers that the public isn't suppose to have and because of that we have no idea who we're calling.
January 8, 200619 yr Just a reminder you must confirm that when you get the email. This list really works! When it first come out I signed up. My calls went from like 10 a day to 1 a week. That one I told I was on the list and they were in violation the said they were sorry several times and stopped calling. I reported them to the ftc.gov anyway

AND I'd like to encourage all you kids out there to actually cooperate with Survey-Takers. Many of them are paid by the survey, so you're earning them some money by simply answering questions.
