Who has played this? Dunno how old it is, but I got it with my new video card. I <3 it, the card and the game. Great effects and visually pleasing much like the pulse gun in F.E.A.R.. The smoke from explosions looks freaking amazing with the 7800gt.

i've played the xbox360 version but not pc version. Its a pretty cool game.

I have the PC version. It's awesome. I'm looking forward to the mods (especially Weapons Factory).

I have UT but no Quake since the last one.

It was quite enjoyable. Its also quite enjoyable to play a game that doesnt get hiccups while im gunning people down.

 

If they could only not make the shadows solid black and the lighting not look so fake.

Q4 simply ****ing kicked ass. Pre-ordered it, got it. Played it for 3-4 days straight (yay for those days off of work), beat it and loved it.

 

I got FEAR preorder on the same day, but i've been having install errors ever since I got the damn thing so I have yet to play it past where the demo takes you. =\

The demo is quite interesting. It takes a bunch of parts of the actual game and makes it one map. What you play in the demo you will never actually play in the game.

All the reviews said F.E.A.R. was a better game though b/c it was not limited by certain Q2/Q3 old standby's.

It was like a Doom3 expansion to me. I loved D3 so I was happy with it. It used the D3 engine, so it's basically the same game. It was scary too! I liked having squadmates, although it always turned into, "Ok, you go scout we'll guard here. OMG WERE DYING AHHH" and then when you come back they're dead. So.. I liked it alot, but it was just Doom 3 all over.
