January 22, 200620 yr if a rule like that is made we might as well invest in new skins to make the guns look like pillows, and the mortars to be big easter eggs.... its part of the game. i mean, first off... most ppl tend to stay out of most Un-cappable points, except for uav and arty destruction, also what about cappable points and squad leader spawning? that cant be helped, if you spawn in right when your SL is walking into a claymore and you die, that is the spawners fault for choosing to spawn there... you could just spawn somewhere else......
January 22, 200620 yr Well in an uncappable base I say its a good rule. Keep people out of permanent spawns. We had a no spawncamping rule on our ET server that worked. If you were caught in a spawn, you were warned then kicked. After a few days people backed off the perma spawns. This is totally out of the question for anything cap-able.
January 22, 200620 yr Having been on both sides of this situation I feel that I can relate fairly well. Being at a team-skill disadvantage of being beaten back to just one spawn point does not make the game fun... but it is part of the game. It is VERY frustrating to spawn and immediately face helo's, bombs, artillery and foot soliders. I do agree with you Scraps. At the same time, this would be a very difficult problem to police. Also, we would likely lose a good number of players because of it. Everyone here has camped an uncapable base at least once I would wager --- I know that I have. However, the problem doesn't seem to occur often enough to warrant a new rule or an addendum in my opinion. Generally the problem works itself out after a few rounds when less-skilled players leave the server and new players enter. I don't believe I've seen one team get "slaughtered" more than four rounds, or so, in a row. My advice, as someone who does get frustrated about this, is ONE - don't stop playing the game. We want you to play here... that's why we brought you on board. None of us want to lose a good team player over something like this. And TWO, if you're in this situation - do what I do... throw grenades at your feet every time you spawn until the round is over. It makes the tickets go down faster. Seriously, I do this when my team is getting whopped and has no hope of coming back. Hope this helps dood - and hope to see you back in game soon.

January 22, 200620 yr I think spawn camping is a very touchy thing. When the enemy fighters and bombers are constantly attacking the enemy runway i can see that as a tactic, they are trying to keep their enemy airforces down. Sometimes people complain that when someone is trying to cap a spawn their spawn camping, but I don't really see it as spawn camping unless the flag is uncappable and their are still many flags left. When it gets down to 1 flag, lets say on gulf of oman, its very hard to prevent this. People get bored and want to spawn camp. I think that would be one of the times where spawn camping should ended.
January 22, 200620 yr And also, not playing a game over one problem is silly, You might as well enjoy playing Battlefield 2 with us and then when you dont like it anymore, stop playing a little. No reason to just say "Im not playing anymore" over somthing that doesnt happen every round.

To the others dont say this is a hard policy to keep because I play on a FH server that has an even stricter rule of no entering spawn or stealing and people follow it. IF the masses of BF2 players didnt have the IQ of a CS player then maybe I could deal with it. I'll try to play today but if i have to deal with a tank or APC sitting in my spawn i'll switch teams and blow the thing to hell if needbe.

January 22, 200620 yr Well Scraps , I'm sorry you felt that way yesterday, I enjoy having you on the opposite side, as my bombs love hitting you Yes I agree it's very annoying when people in tanks, apc's wait on airfield to spawn camp. But it's part of the game. Fustrating yes, When there's no where else to attack the game becomes a very slow pace, and a large majority of the players on the server are trigger happy. It's cool to vent about it in the forums, as we all do it and it helps, but to demand we make a rule or you won't play here is just selfish and uncool. It happens to all of us scraps, that's why most of us are attending anger management
January 22, 200620 yr spawn camping seems to be the biggest problem in the bf2 game.half the people either do it,or at least support the idea of it.the other half hate it so much that they'd rather go play solitare than another sec. of bf2. i too hate spawn camping,but realize that the only way to avoid is too not play,cuz no one else will ever try to say or do anything about it.

January 22, 200620 yr Spawn camping doesn't bother me. I admit, I do it sometimes. Wether it be giving cover fire for a team-mate, or just enjoying myself on the run way. That is untill I get bombed by gator (last night), or impact almost any other time. It is very much so part of the game. If someone is spawn camping, take it upon yourself and make it your mission to take his A*S*S out by any means possible. ps: sorry for the swear word, but no other word seem to really do the job.

Ehhhh, not quite the same effect. But, ya if I am getting camped I immediately switch to Rocket or C4 and make it my objective to smoke this dude that is bothering me.
January 23, 200620 yr ditto. unless its impact in a jet. then i just watch my death count go up no, if its Impact all you do is get Biscuit to come along and do the chipmunk thing and Impact will laugh so hard hell crash into a mountain .
