I was looking for this poem because a friend I have been riding/racing quads with for the last 5 years decided to go back to using this shit after being clean for 9 years. It's bad stuff for sure.

He is back in rehab now. It just sucks to watch your buddy throw their life away and there is nothing you can do to stop them.

Sorry for the bringing back such an old post. Who knows, maybe someone on here needs to read it.

You are right! More people need to read this. I am glad you brought it back up. I know someone who has been clean for 3 years this time and she is still struggling everday. She said she thinks about it atleast 1 time every day she wakes up. I can not imagine something that kind of a hold on me.

It's insane. My buddy went through $10,000 in a month. Not just on meth, he got into xanax too. Meth keeps you awake for days, so the Xanax was to help him sleep. Viscious cycle, he said Xanax withdrawals were pretty bad.

He is still going to meeting everyday and I text/call him every morning to make sure he knows he is not alone and he has people that care about him. He says just knowing that others believe in him helps him a lot.

You're right, I'm glad I've never had something have a hold on me like that. It has to be a horrible feeling.
