Cheating Death 2.3.2

Featured Replies

I downloaded the new version of CD the other day and havn't turned it on yet cuz I always play on FA server. FA seems to be down this morning so I tryed 2 other servers where CD is optional. I turned on CD and tryed to join the servers. Both times I got a message that said that my system has been modified and to remove the modification to continue playing here. I turned off CD and joined with no problem. Of coarse I had the NO CD tag at the beginning of my name, which I hate. Plus, I like to have it turned on so nobody thinks I cheat. I don't have or have NEVER had any kind of cheat on my system. One person on the other server asked if I has any custom models. I have all kinds of custom models. More than half of my gun models are custom. I have custom player models, ammo boxes, medkits, etc. Why would the new version of CD not let me play just cuz I have custom models? I bet most FA players have some custom models. How could having a custom model give you some type of advantage? I don't understand. Is TA going to start using CD again? I thought I read somewhere that TA was going to make it mandatory again? Is this true?
ppl make custom models with the players models having giant poles sticking out their backs so they just look up and they can see if there's a person around the cornerstuff like that...Every last single model in my FA has been re-modeled...even the flags, ammoboxs, and Medvac helo

I don't have any custom player models that have big poles sticking up or anything even close to that. They are just a different color to make them easier to tell apart. So I take it that the new version of CD will only let a player use the default models and sprites. I have custom crosshairs also. I assume that CD will detect this and not let me play unless I turn CD off. Most players will probably elect to turn CD off rather than change back to all the default models and sprites. Most other servers are CD optional. I hope TA doesn't start using CD again. I heard that FA 2.7 is supposed to come out this weekend. Anyone know for sure?

OK check this out. The only files I have ever changed in my FA folder are in the models, sound, & sprites folders. Player models, gun models, gun sounds, crosshairs, etc. So I go and download the default models, sound, & sprites folders from the FA models page. I replace those 3 folders with all of the default ones and I still get that damn message from CD!!! It says that my system has been modified and I need to change the modification in order to play, CODE 33. What the hell? I have never used any kind of cheats, never had a problem with CD before, and have only changed some models, sprites, and sounds. I change back to all the defaults and I still get this message. I give up. I'm glad TA isn't using this stupid program.

You were right Klif. I changed from OpenGL to Software and I didn't get that message. I don't understand though. Why would CD say that my system had been modified just cuz I'm running it in OpenGL mode?
