February 24, 200619 yr sniping is a art,i've put alot of time into it(got ways to go yet too ).with the new SR it make sniping a bit more interesting cuz it's real good up-close and mide range.the m95 is still the better pick for long range/more power ful.for instance m95 can take the driver out a armor truck/heli. stuff like that where as the other can not.but if your trucking around in a smaller or city like map with the m95 your screwed.
February 24, 200619 yr I'd like sniping more if I understood it better in game. I've probably killed more people standing up and running around with a sniper rifle like it was FA than I have with actually sniping. I just can't deal with the whole bullet drop thing, especially when I have to aim up at things and I have no idea how I'm supposed to aim then.
February 25, 200619 yr I like the sniper kit, and like playing sniper, I like the hunt of it for other snipers. The best way to counter a sniper is to outsmart him. Everyone goes up something tall to snipe, and this usually leaves you exposed. Try finding a quiet spot on the ground and in the shadows and you'll get lots more kills.
February 25, 200619 yr the account I play on is 100% sniper http://bf2s.com/player/63346840/ haven't played in a while because EVE has taken hold. Haven't even tried the l96 really, the art to being a sniper in BF2 is finding areas that give you a wide field of view, while offering you some kind of concealment. You should also be able to see anyone coming at you. The big difference between a good sniper spot and a bad sniper spot is: In a good sniper spot, you should be able to see anyone coming to get you In a bad sniper spot, people can easily move around your field of view and get at you. Claymores fill those holes easily though, making bad sniper spots good ones.
February 25, 200619 yr I like the sniper, depending on the map I won't be, but I like it because I get to be stealthy and hide and wait to pounce the enemy like the tiger that I am.
February 25, 200619 yr All of a sudden I love the sniper. The new gun( L96 ) is awesome and I can actually kill people in one shot. Claymores are good too but cheap. I am not beyond using them all over though LOL. I am going to use the hell outta it before they nerf it like they usually do to something good.
February 26, 200619 yr I am going to use the hell outta it before they nerf it like they usually do to something good. I know, they finally fix the sniper, now everyone that didn't use it are complaining it's too powerful and everyone is using it. Now with the next patch, it's probably going to making the sniper all crappy again
February 27, 200619 yr If anything, snipers would be the most cowardly formation in infantry. Not having the guts to meet an enemy face-to-face, to look into the his eyes when taking his life. Always safe, always hiding. Big cowards with big guns - you know, typical soldiers, for they the least deserve the title of warriors. <spits>

Always safe, always hiding. Big cowards with big guns - you know, typical soldiers, for they the least deserve the title of warriors. <spits> If my enemy was armed with a sword, I would gladly draw mine and fightbut as long as he's lobbing explosives and hiding behind armor plates on wheels, I will do what I can to ensure he is dead and I come out alive.
February 28, 200619 yr What if the enemy doesn't have the same sense of honor as you? This thing we call honor is a very ambiguse thing. Furthermore, I don't claim to know much about "The Art of War" but from what I read, spies are incredibly important (ie information) and if you can win a war without stepping a foot on the battlefield then tis what I'll do. If that means sniping a fool out of his car, etc. Then I would have saved thousands of lives. The end result is you live. I've never understood the eastern idea of honor; ie gutting myself because I lost a battle. :o Probably because they lost and are too ashamed? Like when I pistoled Gator....speaking of which..where is he? lol

February 28, 200619 yr What if the enemy doesn't have the same sense of honor as you? I wouldn't care (see my signature). Furthermore, I don't claim to know much about "The Art of War" but from what I read, spies are incredibly important (ie information) and if you can win a war without stepping a foot on the battlefield then tis what I'll do. This is a job for the leader, not a Warrior. If that means sniping a fool out of his car, etc. Then I would have saved thousands of lives. Let's not go megalomaniac here The end result is you live. This is a job for the Warrior. It's His own skill, not emotionless bullet or rocket or atom bomb that are set flying towards an enemy without face. There is nothing more i fear than looking in somebodys eyes, when claiming his life and thinking about who he was, what were his thoughts, dreams, plans, family etc. The machines that soldiers use insulate them from those thoughts making them efficient, yet emotionless. (see next chapter) I've never understood the eastern idea of honor; ie gutting myself because I lost a battle. :o Of course, the society is raised on 'action movies', where death is shown as a meaningless act. The death is never really explained, nor shown in all it's gruesome reality. This creates a false image of death - not as a cesation of Being, but as a squeeze of a trigger. If life is viewed as meaningless, then in that context the act of ritual suicide of shame as an ultimate sacrifice can never be explained.
March 2, 200619 yr :o i rarely use it. i not good at it yet. if trouble with one i have tried it to find him. but usually do better staying on move while looking for his flash, then go from there. :o
