I recently just bought the game and today I beat it. It took roughly 10hrs, if that. Not a very long game. Was it worth the 40 bucks? YES!!! It is a very fun game in a weird way. It will give you a good scare, make you jump alittle, it will even make the little hairs on your arms stand up. If you have ever considered of buying this game. I recommend you do. You shouldn't be dissapointed.

If you can play BF2. You should be able to play this game. I couldn't play it on high settings, but the auto detect settings pretty much did the trick. If you have a good sound card make sure you sacrifice a little graphics for the sound. Thats what really gets ya!

the sound is what makes a game scary. Its what you cant see that really gets under your skin, because your imagination takes over, and everything goes to hell. I love this game, never got around to beating it (got too many other games to play lol).
I've had this game SINCE IT FIRST CAME OUT. I get the same god damn error after i'm done installing it. *sigh* I wonder if the CD is bad or not.

Problem:

Feature transfer error

Feature: DefaultFeature

Component: MPCustomizations

File: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith ProductionsError: Access is denied.

Solution:

The folder "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\" requires full access to write the save file.

To do this, please perform the following steps:

•Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel.

•Double click on "Users and Passwords".

•Locate the login name you will be using to install on the list of users.

•Look at the groups of which this user is a member.

•Double click on "My Computer".

•Double click on your local hard disk (C :) .

•Double click on "Documents and Settings".

•Double click on "All Users".

•Locate the folder named "Documents".

•With the right mouse button, click on the "Documents" folder.

•With the left mouse button, click on "Properties".

•Click on the "Security" tab and Select "Everyone".

•Verify that "Deny" is not checked for anything, if it is, clear that check by clicking on it with the left mouse button.

•Select "Administrators" and verify that "Deny" is not checked for anything, if it is, clear that check by clicking on it with the left mouse button.

•Select "Power Users" verify that "Deny" is not checked for anything, if it is, clear that check by clicking on it with the left mouse button.

•Select "Users" and verify that "Deny" is not checked for anything, if it is, clear that check by clicking on it with the left mouse button.

•Select every other group the user is a member of and verify that none of them have Deny set for any setting, if they do clear the check box by clicking on it with the left mouse button. If a group does not appear in the list here then it is fine and may be skipped for this step.

•Select one group of which the user is a member. If there are no groups the user is a member of listed here, add one by clicking “Add” and selecting the name of the group you wish to add in the upper panel and then clicking on the "Add" button and then clicking on "OK".

•Check "Allow" for "Full Control".

•Click on "Apply" and then on "OK".

•Try the game again.

Notes: You may need Administrator-level access to change the folder permission settings.

If you are unable to find the security tab or unable to follow some of the steps above, start your computer in Safe Mode and then try changing the settings.

To start your computer in the safe mode:

-Restart your computer.

-When you receive the message Starting Windows, press key F8 on the keyboard.

-Select Safe Mode from the booting options.

-Try altering the settings now.

Google is the answer to everything. Hopefully.

That would be crazy! Better yet. If only some people were as smart in BF2 as the AI is in FEAR!

Imagine how much nicer that would be.

Seth, I tried that before. And I don't see 1/2 of those things on my pc anywhere. (WinXP)

I dont see any security tabs or Deny words lol.

Hahaha..crowbar + fire = fun!

Finally got the blasted thing working though. Game is more intense than Doom. Doom is more pop out at you to get you suprised scary or ambient.

And damn, I have a rig that isn't even a year old and has a great setup, but FEAR still kicks it ass if I try to run FRAPs lol.
