March 6, 200620 yr This videogame title is the next big project for will wright, creator of the sims franchise and considered to be one of the greatest game developers of all time. His newest creation is a response to the ever increasing costs of creating content for a videogame, and how in the end its all for naught. Hes managed to finally create something where content is created by the players rather then a team of modelers and skinners. Enter Spore, what could be the next generation of video gaming. You start off as a small microbe in a pond, eating to survive... then you lay an egg. In this egg you create the next generation of your species, by new parts, and modifying existing ones. Can be anything from adding a leg, adding 12 legs, or by giving it a giant tail with a stinger, or a massive head covered with beaks. Now, you cant do this right away, but eventually your pond dweller can leave this habitat, and move out onto land to start a civilization (or, stay in the water and start a civilization.... your choice). It starts out as a small tribe, with a hut and little tools (like spears, and a camp fire). Then grows into a city in which you design all the buildings, and the culture of the race. You then encounter other races of creatures (which by the way are created by OTHER players. All of the other races from the very creature, to the sky scrapers, to the war machines were created by players around the world). you can use diplomacy, or outright defeat them in a war. From here.... the games moves into space. Spore Gameplay Video Enjoy.

March 7, 200620 yr Author I should hope so. the more people that get it and make their own content the more varied the creatures will be, and the more depth the game will have.
