The very few athletes that I think deserve what they get paid are Wayne Gretzky ( his dedication and love of the sport and promotion and in his own league )

Michael Jordan ( in his own league )

Barry Bonds ( love him or hate him he is GOOD )

 

Some that don't deserve it:

Shaq (Big and Tall duh I could do as well as him if I was his size )

if you went from an intellectual stand point though, id be willing to bet shaq is one of the most intelligent people in the NBA...hands down. there are lots of guys in the NBA that are shaq's size, but they arent half the player he is.
They are all overpaid. I mean come on, look at Terrell Owens new contract. They are all babies. whine and cry. Hey wait, if i whine and cry you think i could get a raise? ;)

want to talk about salaries????....two words david beckham..to play an average of 50 soccer games per year and to make 30 million pounds a year through salary and advertising???? that is not cool...we're talkin almost 70 million canadian a year to kick a ball and flaunt around in new shoes...me personally i would do it for 10
