March 21, 200619 yr As someone that's hating on EA right now, I hate to say that I will likely buy it too. And regardless of what anyone else says here --- you will. Why? Two reasons: 1. If 70% of the people here buy it. You'll feel left out and will buy just so that you don't have to sit in a Vent channel by yourself, or in a Vent channel full of people playing a game you DON'T have. 2. What else are you going to buy? It's not like EA has any REAL competition. Sure there are other good companies making good games, but they're not cranking out the titles like EA. And face it, the reason there are 10,000+ BF2 servers online right now is because EA makes the leading-edge games. BF2 has been a let down for sure, but I almost hope they drop support on BF2 all together and start allocating resources to a new game that may not be riddled with the code bugs that BF2 has suffered from. I'll see you biscuits on the battlefield with my wicked laser gun thingy in hand. Eat my high-intensity light emitting diode of death-a-mijjiger.
March 22, 200619 yr I would buy it, but I only have enough for This new Quake Wars thing, and I trust them more than EA.
March 22, 200619 yr For me its hard to get excited about any EA announcments, when they can't even get the products they have out "RIGHT NOW" working.
March 22, 200619 yr Well if this is true, I bet WE PAID EA/DICE to beta test their brand spankin' new game engine for their next release. That just gives me a warm feeling inside, cuz im kinda pissed.

I read the article in my PCG, and it said they are taking into account a lot of bugs. they have a new way of finding them, so it will hopefully be (less) buggy.
March 22, 200619 yr Well, Im thinking Gator will not go for this game, thats not to say we cant but from talking to him, these types of futuristic shooters just dont do it for him so we might have to enjoy the futuristic combat without or beloved leader...
March 22, 200619 yr ok... here i go... bf2 WAS a great game, then they ruined it. but by process of elimination, they may just be able to pull out a pretty good game. or they may use it as a marketing ploy (this game doesnt have "insert error here"). and hey its probly not going to be lasers, or at least now how you're all thinking... if you look at the vid, the weapons act more like their firing tracers or just a futuristic bullet of some sort. i mean, the walkers are using chain guns. plus you ALL know it would be kinda cool to squish enemy's with a walker. besides think of all the things you could do with one of those flyers! The cloak takes the game to a completely different level, as will the flexibility for levels, vehicles, and weapons. I KNOW that ALL of you would would love to jump into a whole squad of guys and just completely obliterate all of them with some sort of light/sword thing at least once... commanders, just think and dream of the possibilities of different assets to command and the new uncharted struggels to overcome..... in closing if we wouldnt have taken a part in all these battlefields, there wouldnt be even a hope for a better game. you have to believe in creativity to create the "new things", and this would just be a bigger sandbox;) (W9)
March 22, 200619 yr Besides the walker, there's nothing there that seems really different or catching. I'm not sold yet
March 22, 200619 yr Reminds me of the Mech Warrior series of games. I enjoyed them way back then. May it will be nice for a change. I liked the Mechs that could fly.
March 23, 200619 yr Reminds me of the Mech Warrior series of games. I was sitting there thinking the same thing...Oh...and that invisible thing...I think they've let a few of our hackin' members play it j/k I **might** get it...but it all depends on the "min reqs" for it...I don't have a "smokin' box" to play on...nor the $$$$ to get one. Remember, I work at Wal~Mart (and have a family) and it took me almost a YEAR to get a vid card to play BF2--Ok, 6 months...but still... Rockett
