April 3, 200620 yr wheteher you believe it or not it has happened i heard a while ago about a guy that got a commander score of over 50000 in one round and complained to EA about it, told them he didn't want it. April 3, 200620 yr I was thinking that I would buy 10 copies of BF2 and 10 new pc's. Hook them all up and rent my own ranked server. Then I could just let them all sit and get the times for all kits and tanks and transport etc. I could virtually have one guy with 50,000 kills and 0 deaths. Good idea? You could get expert tank in less than a month just lettting one player sit in a tank. Nahhhhh, too expensive but I could see someone doing this.

April 4, 200620 yr Actually, this right here kind of changes my perspective on the whole thing. ------------------------------------------------- well to pretty much clear this whole thing up, from the CEA home page. They claim that they found a bug in the bf2 files. after finding this bug they altered the settings, which caused them to start gaining points wildly. pretty much what they are doing is making fun of EA's ranking system by abusing this glitch. they explain how to do it, but im a complete moron when it comes to computer hexi decimals and crap. if you would like to know how the glitch actually works, do it and get your ranking up, all you have to do is email them and ask for the exploit, they say they will let you know, but i assume you need to know spanish. pretty much, it all boils down to being a computer nerd and going through millions, possibly billions of files and finding a bug or error in one of these files. thus finding the bugged file, you can then alter it, and once altered you can set the amount of points you want. hope that helps. hahahahaah EA got boned...........LMAO!!!! -------------------------------------------------------- Then a letter from the C.E.A clan HERE IS THE LETTER FROM CEA THANKS TO EXECUTIONER_STYLE: Please, do not annoy us for what we have done. We are the type of people who think that in-game, rankings are meaningless. With this, we have precisely demonstrated what we mean. I don't really understand why you are annoyed with us. We're from the same 'band' (group of people I'm guessing). If you really think we did it for our benefit, why would we put Sinkope at 16 million points when the others are below 400,000? If we did want to do this for our benefit, we would have been much more subtle, such as not making such a huge points difference. Once again, we are all in the same boat. With this we have demonstrated that rankings are not worth or mean ****. We love this game, but EA 'touches our balls' (literal translation, they're tying to say that EA pisses them off) a lot with their ****** expansions we have to pay for. We haven't modified the game files or used an external application. We simply found a bug in the game, and have exploited it to show to mock EA. April 5, 200620 yr Because they are not making the point of stat padding. They are showing EA is more worried about comming out with new expansion and making more money. Then actually trying to fix the game.
April 5, 200620 yr I find it utterlly rediculous that people believe EA or DICE give a dang about them playing with there score or that they get pissed at a company for trying to making money. They say thay don't care if they get there accounts wiped and have to buy a new game to get a new account. EA doesn't either. You are buying the new game and account from them. I like the rank and awards system because it give you another objective in the game once the same old death, murder, kill gets old like it has in so many other games. If you can't afford $10 then don't buy the expansion simple as that. And if you can't afford that money, unless you old or handicaped maybe instead of playing BF2 you should take up another hobbie some of us call work. Just my 2 cents

You didn't read his post well enough I agree with the guy, EA and DICE (I mention DICE for being the developer who bends over and takes it) have been screwing with consumers for a long time now.

April 10, 200620 yr if it needs to be removed then so be it...the fact that they say ea mucked up is a little far from the truth..the way he made it sound was that it was a problem in the files but in reality it seems they tried what they could to accomplish such a task and in turn this is what happened. Noone who plays the game for fun would have stumble accross this feat as it is just clearly a waste of time,these guys worked to cheat ,got carried away and ended up making up excuses to cover it up. i removed the post anyway just in case someone felt it was inappropriate
