I recently came across this mod for Half-life 2, called Empires Mod (www.empiresmod.com). It features a balance between Real-time Strategy and FPS. I've played it for hours on end, and still want more. So, check it out, the download is alittle big but it's well worth it.

pretty much... i also had no clue how the game worked either :/. i couldnt figure out how to build stuff and all the other stuff the other people were doing.

theres a guide on the site, or one that comes with the download. its a decent mod, so far the most complete of all the releases for hl2.
