May 1, 200619 yr I have noticed that since the last two patches, I am unable to play BF2 in single player mode while not being connected to the internet. What I ask of you is to remove your internet connection from your computer, reboot and see if you can launch BF2. For me the game will not even launch. The BF2 logo comes up for a few monents, then disappears and nothing else happins. This kills me because I like to play single player and fly around and stuff while I am out to sea.

May 1, 200619 yr what you need to do is create a new profile but set it as an offline profile otherwise you will always check for connection

May 1, 200619 yr Author I do have an offline profile. The game will not even launch long enough for me to select online or offline. Try my test above and post your results.

May 2, 200619 yr you should probably erase the old optimized files which can be found in "my documents>battlefield 2>mods>bf2>cache" and if you have SF erase those also.
