And here we go... at Flips request... :p

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup cake flour*

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened

1 1/4 cups sugar

1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks (We recommend NESTLÈ® TOLL HOUSE® Morsels or chunks)

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Combine flour, cake flour, baking powder and baking soda in medium bowl; set aside.
  • Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (2 to 3 minutes). Add eggs and vanilla. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 minute).
  • Reduce speed to low. Continue beating, gradually adding flour mixture, until well mixed (2 to 3 minutes). Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets
  • Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. (DO NOT OVER-BAKE.) Let stand 1 to 2 minutes; remove from baking sheets.

Makes 24 cookies.*Substitute 1 cup all-purpose flour minus 2 tablespoons. (Cookies will be flat and less chewy.)

TIP: For 2 1/2-inch cookies, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. 4 dozen cookies.
