In order to make certain medal rewards more accessible to the time played criteria for the following medals has been reduced: Golden Scimitar Medal - Now requires 100 hours Peoples Medallion - Now requires 100 hours MEC Special Forces Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours Navy Cross Medal - Now requires 100 hours EU Special Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours SAS Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours Navy Seal Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours Spetsnaz Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours Rebel Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours Other Changes in the update include: Addition of a North America Service Ribbon. Change in the promotion of Generals Each month. After the update the top 50 Lt. Generals will be promoted to General. Additional authentication support for ranked servers to ensure proper labeling of ranked servers in the server browser. Keep your eyes on this space for all your Battlefield news!

May 4, 200619 yr :thumbsdown: Now that I got those medals with 250 hours played someone else will get them with 100? Blah. EA messes up again. I don't think 250 hours was too much to hope for in each theatre to get a medal. The 4500 hours for SpecForces was a bit much though LOL.

May 4, 200619 yr Author yeah it sucks for those who spent the time on reg bf medals, but not for the SF medals as they were much too high at 4500 hours.

May 4, 200619 yr So that's why I got the Golden Scimitar tonight. Interesting.. the number of wins was also reduced (used to be 500 wins) I think I have 220 MEC wins. Also, I've been trying to get Veteran Explosives, and I've done at least 3 rounds of "rushing claymore assault" and gotten over 23 kills, but no badge yet. I am getting annoyed. The last time, I had 26 clay kills in a round :thumbsdown:

May 4, 200619 yr well the medals used to distinguish the elite to the standards, now they are easy to obtain. soon expert on vehicles will be reduced to like 100 hours I imagine. just a way for EA to keep their audience happy...give em medals.

Rejoyce All ye N00BS, and be Greatful that EA conforms their games around people who complain that they cant shoot anyone when they're attempting to hump a medpack while they have full heath. and just for the record... N00B Vs. Wiffle Bat = P0WNED!!!!!!
