May 26, 200619 yr Although many of us are guaranteed the joys of a three day weekend full of partying and general leisure activities, we should not forget why we have Monday off. Memorial Day is a day of rememberance for those who sacrificed a lot, and in many cases all, in past wars and service so that we can live freely without fear. I'm grateful for these great deeds, as I'm sure all of you are. I'm not saying we should all go out to the cemeteries and place flags (although you are certainly more than welcome), I'm just saying we should all take a bit of time out of our day Monday and think about the true meaning of this holiday.
