LINCOLN, Nebraska (AP) -- A judge's decision to sentence a 5-foot-1 man to probation instead of prison for sexually assaulting a child has angered crime victim advocates who say the punishment sends the wrong message.

That is absolutely ridiculous. He doesnt have to go to jail because he is short. I just don't understand that. I mean sure he might get killed in prison because he is small but maybe he should have thought of that BEFORE he decided to molest a child. Absolutely ridiculous

I we generally try to steer clear of political and religious topics here, but I do agree that the US has given the courts WAY to much power. If you recall, there are three parts to our democratic government. Unfortunately, the judicial, particularly in local scenerios, are starting to "make" their own laws (or interpret it however they wish).

 

Things will only get worse until we decide to buckle down and do what's right. People that break the law, should be punished --- and sometimes harshly.
