June 19, 200619 yr Yes it will be buggy, yes people will complain. As long as I can step on impact while "driving" one of those 'mechs, I will be happy. HaHa fatty i think we will all be looking forward to that:D
June 20, 200619 yr Im going to state my opinion on this game as I stated it about Quake Wars. I posted it in another forums, so Im just going to paste it: I dont hate BF2 because Im a quake wars fanboy. I remember when everyone was saying how bf1942 was buggy and bf2 will be the same. Then I played the bf2 demo. Best ****ing demo Ive played so far. Ran great, no bugs, great registy, etc. Just awesome. So awesome, that I drove down to eb games to reserve the game after playing for a few hours. Now bf2 retail was much different. It was laggy, ran bad, stats were forgotten, TEAMMATE NAME BUG, etc. Stuff that still hasnt been fixed to this day. I dont WANT bf2142 to fail. I want it to be a great game. But the fact that this game was just recently announced(with what, less than 1 year dev time) to combat ET:QW, Im even more skeptical. It doesnt even have the dev time of bf2, and look how buggy that is? All the games Ive played by id software(relating to doom engine), they ran great and had no crashes(doom 3, roe, quake 4). Now, splash damage(who made et) did a good job with their previous game. So I have the game with more dev time, has a better history, AND is being watch by John Carmack(who would be very pissed if the game was bad) seeing the development on quake wars. Its all that vs a game made in less than a year to combat quake wars, following a game that had horrible programming. That is why I have more faith in Quake Wars.
June 22, 200619 yr I hope they learned their less (haha yea right) but I really think it will come out very buggy, then that wonderful first patch will fix alot. I still dont understand how alot of stuff is not caught during "testing".
