reinstall? thats the only thing i can think of. It can't find a certain file?

my sound is really scratchy, and it doesnt do it just ingame, it does it everywhere D:

im using onboard sound btw, and its better than my sound card :x.

i had that problem...i set my sound settings from hardware to software (even though im using a sound card)

i guess i should read the post in its whole...that fix only did it for bf2....as for everywhere let me do some checking

try this...its the latest ac 97 drivers released yesterday

 

after installing go to control panel---sound/audio devices go to the voice tab and select test hardware..if there is a problem with the drivers/codecs this should solve them...if not im at wits end and you should just buy a soundcard...you can get an audigy for $30 these days
