June 9, 200619 yr I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and have it setup good. I have always had a big problem figuring out how to drop bombs correctly. Before with the Fighter jets I didn't fly because I sucked at controlling them. The A-10 in AF is much more stable and I am loving it. The problem I have is dropping bombs. I don't know when to actually drop them. I see the green square around the target but always seem to miss. Can I drop them any time I see the green target? Can anyone explain it? Is there maybe a video someone saved of them bombing? HELP!! i realy want to fly more. Maybe next you guys can help me with the Apache lol. Thanks in advance.
June 9, 200619 yr The flyers will just say join a server with me and we can practice. I tried that A 10 also and find it a lot easier to fly for me but took a few maps to learn where to start the bomb drop. You can't drop them when you first see the green box you have to fly over the target and just drop at the right time which you have to learn by trial and error. If you look at my stats you will see I am not a flyer, I think I have 3 hours LOL. Ask Gator, Flip, impact.
June 9, 200619 yr impact somehow uses the mouse somehow, but if your ever up in the air against him keep your finger over the 9 button. My bombing skills fluctuate, sometimes im good and others i can't hit a thing. It really depends on your speed and the angle of your approach. I tend to slow down and drop the bombs a little before im over the green box.
June 9, 200619 yr just remember... when you drop your bombs they will be going almost the same speed as you..... in other words, you have to calculate for your speed angle and altitude.... the bombs will not go straight down unless you are completely still and/or going straight down with them! if you need a hand i'm home all weekend so give me a buzz and I can help you out:D
