June 10, 200619 yr So, I just beat Episode 1 today, great game, and as always leaves open a huge question. I also watched the hl2:e2 trailer, which is available on steam. It shows what happens after the incident at the end of e1 (damn why can't things ever be easy =P) and sets up the scene for e2. From what it looked like there is going to be some good, outdoor type combat. Also, it seems to be more against aliens this time around. It's deffinitly got me excited, and when it comes out (I heard around decemeber?) I'll buy it quickly. Also, what was your all's favorite part of E1? Personaly I loved it when alex got the shotgun for the first time (lets say, a lot of zombies laid dead...er after that) and when you get your crowbar back from barny.

What was funny is the first time I saw those poisonous spiders (the ones that bring your hp to 1). I imediatly said out loud "god I hate these things" and not a second later alex goes "Man I hate these things!" . Made me lol. edit: and of course, the ending was great. I personaly liked it a lot better than HL2 as well (the ending that is). Underspy I'd recomend you watch the E2 trailer, its great.
June 10, 200619 yr My favorite part was the whole hospital level, minus the gunship and when you fall though the floor into the water pit. My favorite thing to do is grab the Zombines grenade from their hand and fire it back at them.
June 11, 200619 yr awsome episode. I must say i HATE running around with a flash light though. I got sick of it and did "mat_fullbright 1" eventually because it was pissing me off. The Hospital was amazing, looks like they added quite a few new textures for us mappers. Only dissapointment was the lack of a "boss" again. I really want to go toe to toe with a huge monster where the trick to killing him is something obscure.

Yeah I was kind of looking foward to going toe to toe with something big, although I did like the somewhat boss-ness of the strider at the end.
