June 17, 200619 yr Well I finally got my new step-up card from evga. I went from a perfectly good working evga 7800 GT to a evga 7900 GT KO superclocked. The only problem is when I opened the box, one of the cards capacitors was sitting in the clear plastic case not attached to my brand new video card. So now I have to wait 1-2 more weeks for a replacement on top of the 2 months I have already waited due to being backordered. And to top it all off, because I live in Canada they wont give ma a postage paid slip which means I have to cover the shipping for the third time now:mad: It just makes me mad because I didnt buy a broken video card and now I have to shell out another 30 bucks so they will ship me a working one on top of what i've already paid for it. Thats life I guess....... :warning:
June 17, 200619 yr Author thanks guys, it does suck....more frustrating than anything. As long as my new card comes in 1 piece ill be happy lol
June 22, 200619 yr if it was obvious where it should be, i'd solder it in myself or get shop to. just be sure to not use more solder then appearing elsewhere on card. sure you risk voiding warranty if it looks tampered with after the fact. but the cost for pro to do it would be maybe $5 vs the additional $30 you need now for replacement.
