I read this on the WaW forums

 

I know, who really cares, but thought it was interesting that some people are holding on to FA so hard. Who the hell plays this much anyway? 30 people max?

 

Don't get me wrong. I loved FA as much as anyone but it IS getting stale and the lack of people playing means you will always be stuck with some dummies you don't like. Some admin will see you playing as alias and give away your real name and then all the trouble starts. Whereas, in BF2, there are so many people playing it is easy to stay anonymous if you like.

 

I have never had a problem with YIS and respect their rules when I go there.

In our almost 3 year history....We have always stayied fast to our commitment to the new to medium skilled player....this WILL NOT CHANGE

 

We have argued, accross many forums, discussed the issues. We've addresed some of them and weighted your concerns or suggestions against our rules or guidelines. Some of which you still contend. In doing so in some cases we have bent or changed our posted rules or guidlines to accomidate any needed changes, has we saw fit. This is not the point of this post. What is, is simply I've cleared our ban cfg file.

 

Previously it was around 50, and I felt confident in replying to complaints that out of 1000 or more players.......YOU WERE THE PROBLEM. However to lessen the load abit, I've spoken w/ Sgt.Rock and we decided to lighten our ban load.............So everyone is unbanned..Now if you find youeself banned on our server.....then it is YOU!

 

You don't have to agree with our guidlines or rules.....however in respect to this, WE DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT WHAT YOU DEEM HAS YOUR BELIEFS AS TO ONLINE GAMEPLAY OR BEHAVIOR. (just because you brought a game does not mean you can do has you please). WE [YIS]FA are the ones that provide this gaming enviourment.

 

So we reseve the right has the provider of our free online gaming services to dictate our prefrences to or how............WE FEEL OUR SERVER SHOULD OPERERATE. It is now up to you individualy to play nicely and within our guidelines. I hope this works out and doesn't further your ill feelings toward [YIS]Fa .

 

Please remember.............this is no license to "own or pwn" or do what you want, when you want. Our "Candy assed" but dedecated admins WILL always enforce our server guidelines at all times. This is nothing more then a house cleaning on our part..should you become re-bannned, please post a request to unban in our complaint forum................This same msg is now posted in various forums.

i got banned for laughing at an admin dieing after he fell of the bridge in durandal...sweet clan:rolleyes:

thats funny because when i got banned i had my own thread where SnakeEyes (the leader) made a big paragraph about how many rules i broke and how disrespectful i was and how i was never to be unbanned

 

im gonna go get banned again :warning: (not really, but i probably will be eventually)

i supposedly got banned for using a bizon, and a g3 too well... they didnt even give me warning... funny thing was.... it happened right after an admin ran over my clay. lol some of them are good peeps tho!

in my opinion, the only good one is Slimer. i only say this because he is quiet, not a jerk, and when he says something its usually nice

BTW, also never been banned on any other games servers... Egidio.

I wish FA would come back before they changed it to favor only the rushers and FAMAS jockeys. Rushing around with my SMG's get's very old after awhile. I miss being able to set up with a scoped rifle and kick back when I was feelin' lazy.

 

Well, that and I miss the Stielhand. I miss being the top scorer on our server with that weapon

I stated my opinion in the thread. Both my post and delta's and I think one others was quickly removed because it was 'offensive' to snake eyes.

I found it challenging trying not to do too well or use certain weapons. No biggy. They left me alone as long as I acknowledged nicely ther requirements. Long ago i took offense to it, but after realizing their reasons, not taking it personal, I accpeted the challenge and had fun. Thier server.

I have always avoided making comments on YIS, I understand what they are shooting for... they want to have fun they dont want people just getting owned..

 

But I have never really heard much good about them, always stories about people getting banned for silly reasons... meh, I played there once and had no issues.

The problem is that their policies are all hidden. Im not that great of a player, but I was banned(temporarily) when using the ak47. The admin was saying "use less armor, you are too hard to kill". So I was eventually running around with all light(but then I could run forever so I was rushing all the time). Then I got kicked repeatedly.

 

I was finally banned when I killed 2 people ina row with the 1911(I just lucked out with both of them being softened up by teammates). The YIS are saying that they are catering to the new players. Then why dont they just tack on the server name "Noobs Only"? It would completely remove this whole debate.

Yea, that makes it impossible to... really have a good time... everyone is just waiting to be banned it sounds like.

 

Why do people still play there? Wouldn't everyone eventually piss them off and be banned? (sorta like our pop server )
