The Oilers couldn't do it

Featured Replies

back-passing to invisible teammates on a breakaway, killing your own powerplays by passing back and forth in front of the blue line, dumping the puck, and trying to fly into the center as a hero will not win you Stanely Cups.

It's scientific fact!

For the 13th year in a row I believe the Canadians haven't won a Stanley cup...

You said it all. Didnt they learn from game 6 when they shot everything at the net and scored 4? No, guess not. But, a Thunder Bay boy Eric Staal is bringing the cup home for me to see. :D

Teamplay favors Carolina.

Stanley Cup away from Canada 13 years favors Oilers.

Hmmm.

I'd like to see Oilers bring it to home of hockey. But after Carolina took out our great goalie, plus weak penalty killing that Carolina seems good at drawing in their favor, seems game will not be won by just team skill. :D

So who knows. :D

Not to take anything away from Carolina, but how many times did the Oilers miss the net when they did have chances. I can understand the problems getting it into the zone, because Carolina was stacking the blue line. (Like another team that wears all red). But when Oilers did break the lock, they missed the net with wild shots. When they got behind, they started to take really hard shots that completly missed the net. In game 6, they made the defense commit before taking the shot. Oh well, after a year without the game, I loved to see it back!!!!!!!!
