PlanetSide Reserves is basicly all of planetside for free, except it restricts you to BR6 CR2 (BR = Battle Rank, CR = Command Rank). It'll be free until May 2007, so I figured it might be fun if we got an OTF outfit going on these free accounts.

Q: What is the demo program PlanetSide Reserves?

A: Demo players will be able to download the PlanetSide Reserves demo and will be able to play for free through Battle Rank 6. Once they reach BR 6, they will be able to continue to play the game, but will not accumulate additional experience points unless and until they upgrade to a paying account. On exit from the game after each play session, players will be taken to a website that will allow them to purchase the game client and upgrade to a paying account. Upon purchase of the game client, you will receive an additional 30 days of play after upgrading your account. This offer is not available for existing PlanetSide accounts.

What is Planetside?

Besides a PC game.

Its a Massivly Multiplayer online First Person Shooter ((With Stats and such))

Its got some pretty epic battles, Last night me and about 200 other guys assualted a base being defended by another Empire, I got sleepy and left, Im still wondering if we took it..

But it was awesome, seeing arty fly over ahead , giant walking mechs, tanks, Lasers everywhere

Leetness!

I'll download it now and give it a try

edit: waiting for the really long update to finish about and 1 hr left then ill be good to go

I'm having a problem updating the game, after a few minutes it says corrupt file or something like that in the log and to download it again. It does this everytime I just to update my game..any ideas?

:D well after playing for a lil bit, i got a headache & it was boring for me. not as fun as i remember it.

:D

Found out the problem, my firewall was blocking the update. I'll try it when this thing finishes
DOWNLOAD NOW!!!! rofl... sorry but i just got to BR5 and its freakin sweet! just think of bf2 with 200+ people on a freakin huge map with multiple bases that are fully accessable to any area and tons of vehicles and weapon combos that you can custom set. plus the game is balanced (i.e. to use cloak you sacrifice armor and inventory space so you can only cary a pistol)

Cool!

Add me to your friends list :D

You stole my thread from the WaW OTF ;D. Anywho, I lead an outfit (guild, clan, whatever) of OTFers (and Wheat) if anyone is interested :) . It's called Outpost Tactical Force, TR Emerald :D .

There is another version of this called Fodderside -- same idea and everything. You have the game up to BR 6.

I'll be gettin' it, no doubt -- fun game, but somehow it's just NOT worth the payment per month.

Yeah so, Me and white-nine just played for about 4 hours straight

We started out at our homeworld, wondering what to do, so we loaded up on a liberator where we went on a bombing run on a base we were attacking, where we go shot down and took cover in a small outpost, the outpost was soon taken after we got there, and we retook it, moving on to the next outpost, capturing it, we proceded to defend these two outpost from attack for about 15 minutes, when a huge battle erupted to the Blue guys (Forgot their names) last base on The planet, when we moved in to help fight. It was a long battle, lasting an hour or so, then we finanlly took it, secured everything, and went back to the sanctury to plan our next course of action.

Once we got into space to plan our orbital pod landing, we saw another huge battle on another planet, so we landed there, our troops were trying to cross the bridge to the enemys outpost, we fought there for abotu 15 minutes, taking cover at some of our own destroyed Mechs and tanks, when the VC finally pushed us back as we retreated.

Then, me and white traveled to an alien world, fighting off more VC unti lwe controled it then, this only took about 5 minutes, we had them out-numbered.

Then he went to bed, and I posted this!

Yeah, fun fun fun
