July 21, 200619 yr It is upon us and boy can you make a decent system now and put in a top videocard with what AMD saves you. Sure Intels Conroe is around the corner but with prices like these and add inh the easy overclocking. Its a steal. http://www.theinq.net/default.aspx?article=33154
July 21, 200619 yr indeed that would make building a pc a lot cheaper and more bang for buck....a shame i already have mine done
July 21, 200619 yr well its cheap for now, only because they are going out of date, then they will release new ones for not so cheap and then your gonna want that one instead....Thats the reality with comps, your never ahead of the game lol
July 21, 200619 yr Author Yeah but with the present state of things. Current CPU's can easliy handle the toughest games with good videocards. So save and prosper.
July 21, 200619 yr absolutly, but sooner than later games will need much more...Gaming is pretty much what drives the industry to upgrade...kinda sad when you think about it
July 21, 200619 yr absolutly, but sooner than later games will need much more...Gaming is pretty much what drives the industry to upgrade...kinda sad when you think about it no one forces you to buy these games
July 21, 200619 yr no one forces you to buy these games what does that have to do with anything? I was just stating a fact, not complaining;) . I like upgrading my comp, its just sad that its games and only games that make people want/have to upgrade, but then again its cool to see the turnout. I just wish they would come out with a supercomputer and just leave it at that rather then take these baby steps which ends up spending more money in the end...that is if you want to participate in the current trend of gaming.

July 21, 200619 yr Here is part of the difference between good gamers and great gamers. I have a 2.4 cpu and 256 meg card on a 4X AGP while the next guy has the newest and hottest tweaked thing and he beats me one on one because his machine performs better and also more skill part of the time. That is the only thing that burns me.
July 21, 200619 yr Klink, sorry to say, even when I had only integrated 6100 video getting 30fps if I was lucky.... I still was pwning you. LOL. I am just that good! 30 FPS is good.

Just what I've been waiting for. That.... and a winning powerball ticket.
July 21, 200619 yr this is good news for me. my mom's pc just died so i ordered her a barebones kit that came with: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ ClawHammer Socket 939 CPU Masscool CPU Cooling Fan Maxtor DiamondMax HDD 160GB/7200/8MB Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3 Memory Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3 Memory Ultra X-Finity 500-Watt ATX 120mm Fan SATA-Ready SLI-Ready PSU Ultra Wizard Black ATX Mid-Tower Case with Front USB and Firewire Ports Asus A8N SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard and she said that I could keep this one and give her my old pc!!! So since I'm still on socket 754 and ATI AIW 9800 Pro, I'm going to keep the mobo/cpu/psu and I just ordered a eVGA 7600GT CO Superclocked and am going to hook that up. Now that AMD is dropping prices, I'll be able to upgrade my CPU!!!! Great deal for me, considering my current PC set up.
July 21, 200619 yr Author The 7600GT is great and get the fastest CPU you can afford. Your system will be great. Better will be getting the Best Vcard you can afford and keep your present CPU.
