Another Dev Diary - Weapons Test

Featured Replies

Alan "Demize99" Kertz, DICE weapons designer, posted his development diary on IGN. This is the second time somebody from DICE posts a diary on IGN, you can read the first one, by James Slat, here.

The PAC squad's Recon soldier located the sniper in his tower, and by aiming at him revealed the enemy's Network Battlefield information to his entire squad. The squad was immediately and automatically alerted to the enemy through the icon on their 3D map. The Support gunner in the squad used his Shuko LMG to suppress the sniper, forcing him to duck for cover or be mowed down in the hail storm of high velocity rounds. The Squad Leader's SD-8 Accipiter Sentry Drone also picked up the Network Battlefield target automatically and added its own suppressive firepower. The squad's Assault soldier then dialed in the distance to the sniper's perch for his PK-74 AR-Rocket. The rockets airburst detonated just past the sniper's cover, eliminating him and allowing the squad to move up and secure their objective.
