Posted August 18, 200619 yr Well, my mom was finally crazy enough to cave in and let me adopt a kitten! We adopted her from a lady who lives less than 5 minutes from us, and the poor thing was found near a dumpster with her mother and one other kitten. She's 12 weeks old and she is very tiny(no more than 4 pounds right now). We were going to name her Willow, but when we went to see her the lady called for Allie and the kitten responded to that name, so we won't change it. But here's a couple of pics of her...she's all white, except for a little black spot on the top of her head and her tail is black. She likes to sleep on my lap and nestle into my neck. I'm allergic to cats but I love them to much to not have one around haha. Also, she likes to chase the mouse on the computer screen, teehee. So, everyone meet Allie!
August 18, 200619 yr the little white devil, i like cats but it seems the white ones are rascals...good luck
August 18, 200619 yr Aww cute kitty . Make sure that she'll get all her shots and make sure to get her fixed. And dewormed too.
August 18, 200619 yr Nice. They can have worms whose eggs can be transffered to you from licking. No milk. Get to Vet for instructions and important shots asap.
August 18, 200619 yr Oh great... now there's somehting else that's going to pee on me (shakes fist at the dog).... sigh, at least the cat is smaller so it cant tackle me...
August 18, 200619 yr Aww, she's cute. I could have hooked you up with one of mine though. Let's just say you should keep it at 1 cat. Oh, and i agree, when she is old enough, spay her immediately. I found that out the hard way, and am constantly reminded of that every day.
August 18, 200619 yr she is cute but at 12 weeks shes no where near 4 lbs cuz mine is 5 month and he isn't even to 4 lbs yet. and if u do get her spayed do it around 4-5 months.
August 18, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the encouragement everyone! So far she's been pretty good...she already goes right to her litterbox we set up for her and hasn't had any "accidents"(then again, it's only been 24 hours lol). The most interesting thing is getting her acquainted with our almost-3-year-old Golden Retriever/Collie mix. He was actually afraid of Ali when we brought her home last night, but today he more or less wants to play with her. We just have to be careful because of how tiny she is compared to how big he is(he's about 55lbs.). She's already been tested for fleas, worms, and viruses and she has none of those. We'll be taking her to the vet early next week to get her vaccinations, and yes we will definitely be getting her spayed when she's old enough to have the procedure done. BTW...she's already managed to hurdle over a 3-4 foot high fence we have blocking the living room from the bedroom area. Smart little kitty she is, LOL.
August 18, 200619 yr i told ya, white cats are little rascals, we used to have a little white cat "dudley"....he would suck you in with his little innocent face and blue eyes, but when you least expect it hes tearing your arm to shreds and then running off with your shoes
August 19, 200619 yr Author i told ya, white cats are little rascals, we used to have a little white cat "dudley"....he would suck you in with his little innocent face and blue eyes, but when you least expect it hes tearing your arm to shreds and then running off with your shoes WITH your shoes? haha sounds like your little white kitty was like a dog. Ali follows me around like she is a dog. I call her name and whereever she is, she comes running up to me(she listens better than Terrance does haha). now, I think she's still too small to pick up a shoe but she *did* try to bury herself into my mom's sandal...the little pipsqueak I'll put more pics of her up in a few days over in the Gallery, as long as I can get her to keep still! it's very difficult to take a picture of a rambunctious kitten!
August 19, 200619 yr My sister had a Great Dane about 120 pounds and her head could rest on my kitchen table. She did that until my giant 20 pound cat ( Booty ) whacked her in the nose and she yelped and ran away. I wish I had a video.
August 19, 200619 yr Very cute kitty! Reminds me of my cat Belle. She's technically a "Firetip Siamese," so she's pretty much all white and has orange rings on her tail. She's also got the blue eyes which rule because when cats look into the light they get that little green "glow" in their eyes, if they're blue they'll glow red which makes them look evil lol.
August 20, 200619 yr Author it looks good enough to boil and eat on toast. mmmm.. toast.. -G ooh hurrah, now you sound like W9... *hides the kitty from you & W9*
August 20, 200619 yr Oh great... now there's somehting else that's going to pee on me (shakes fist at the dog).... sigh, at least the cat is smaller so it cant tackle me... yeah but even though she cant tackle you. she has 16 claws that WILL find there way into your senstive parts at some point trust me.. my kitten is around a year old now (cat??) and she stalks me... i have at least 16 holes in the back of my calf now where she decided to play with my bagstrap...
