BF2 Wont Start

Featured Replies

So I hooked up my dual Viewsonic VX922 monitors last night and now BF2 wont start. I tried putting the resolution in my shortcut command line but that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?

any game will only run on 1 monitor, make sure your setting are correct within the nvidia / ati menu settings.

Try just one monitor at a time on each DVI connector.

That should do it. If not you may have the wrong command line.

i have it set up so that the monitor on the right is my primary so nothing shifts when i open it.

I shouldnt have to disconnect one monitor each time I want to play a game should i?

You shouldnt, when I was using two monitors I didnt have any problems like that. In what mode do you have your dual monitors set at? Do you have them stretched across both in a resoultion like 2560x1024 or do you have them set up like its just another desktop space like both are running at 1280x1024? I truly believe it has something to do with the way your displays are configured in windows/ATI or Nvidia.

Ok I got it working. I set up the monitors as 1 and 2 (instead of 2 and 1) and made #1 the primary. Oh yeah, I also reinstalled my vid card drivers too . Think that did the trick.

Thanks for the help!

If it happens again go to your bf2 folder and your profile folder. Copy and paste it to desk top. What it is is it is looking for the old settings it had before you witched things around. If you have to just delete that old folder then do it but you'll have to set up all yuor configs again and re-enter your password again at the login in screen.
