September 20, 200619 yr For all you people that own IPODS, just in case you didn't know. If you buy one, you should get the extra protection warranty they offer. Why, you ask? Because the battery on an IPOD only lasts about a year or less. Also, i was told if you plug it in car or computer, you only get 200 uses out of it. I found this out the hard way. My IPOD lasted 7mos. no warranty. It is going to cost me around $56 for a new one. In my book, it's not worth it, cuz i have to send it out to replace battery also. I'm mad as heck about it. I know I won't be buying a new bigger one for this reason. I was going to buy the 30gb one, not anymore. It just isn't worth spending $300 on something that doesn't even last 1 year. :o
September 20, 200619 yr i've had a 30 gig for about 5 months now and im yet to have a problem with it. we'll have to wait and see

September 20, 200619 yr Hmm, I've had the one my wife got me (the version with the buttons not on the wheel) for a few years now. I think it was Christmas 2003. Still seems to work ok for me at least. I use it at work daily because the hum of the instruments is irritating.
September 20, 200619 yr My ipods harddrive just died after 1 year. It won't sync with itunes properly and I can't add/delete songs. Good news is american express offers an additional year of warranty coverage, so I got my money back and can get a video.
September 20, 200619 yr I've had mine for... almost 2 years now? (I think). It's still working fine .
September 20, 200619 yr I have 2 of em, had a problem with one and apple replaced it right away. $60 bucks for the 3 year extended warrenty is worth it though.
